A few days ago I got a call from a colleague who had a photo shoot in Old Havana,that day he was going to be complicated in other commitments so he asked me to cover the job for him. I gladly accepted. I immediately contacted the client and agreed with her to meet me in the central park, which is a very central area perfect for access from anywhere.

That's how I met Johana, a girl from Poland who was visiting Cuba for a whole month. I was surprised that she was doing it for so long, but she explained to me that it was her way of getting to know the place and its people better.

She also asked me not to take such touristy pictures because she liked something more natural and to interact more with the environment.

I thought this was great because I don't like the touristy places that everyone wants to have but something more natural and spontaneous.

So from the beginning I think we were well connected and there was a very good energy for the session, at first she was a little nervous but little by little with the conversation and the interaction she was loosening up a little more.

We explored the street graffiti, the small streets of Havana that give a very particular look, even the lots of Havana participated in one or another photo.

In the end we were very pleased with the work and the truth was very comfortable to do it, everything flowed very well, I hope you like this selection of some of the images of the day.

Hace algunos días me llamó un colega que tenía una sesión de fotos en La Habana vieja,ese día el iba a estar complicado en otros compromisos así que me pidió que le cubriera el trabajo. Yo encantado acepté. Enseguida me puse en contacto la clienta y acordé con ella encontrarnos en el parque central que es una zona muy céntrica perfecto para acceder desde cualquier lugar.

Así fue que conocí a Johana, una muchacha de Polonia que estaba visitando a Cuba por todo un mes. Yo me quedé sorprendido que lo hiciera por tanto tiempo pero me explico que era su forma de llegar a conocer mejor el lugar y sus gente.

Así mismo me pidió que no le hiciera unas fotos tan turísticas ya que le gustaba algo de un estilo más natural y poder interactuar más con el medio

Esto me pareció algo genial porque no me gustan muchos los sitios turísticos que todos quieren tener sino algo más natural y espontáneo.

Por eso desde el principio creo que estábamos bien conectados y hubo una muy buena energía para la sesión, al principio estuvo algo nerviosa pero poco a poco con la conversación y la interacción fue soltándose un poco más

Fuimos explorando los grafitis callejeros, las callejuelas habaneras que dan un look muy particular, incluso los solares de la habana participaron en una que otra foto.

Al final quedamos muy complacidos con el trabajo y la verdad fue muy cómodo hacerlo, todo fluyó muy bien , espero que les gusten está selección de algunas de las imágenes del día.
