A friend strongly recommended that I definitely visit Burano, as it's a very picturesque place. I listened to him and took the vaporetto there one morning.
When I disembarked, there were still very few people on the streets near the pier. The first thing I noticed is that most of the streets are narrow and do not follow a straight line; rather, they have a winding layout.
The picturesque aspect is noticeable as soon as you venture a little into the town. The houses have bright colors, and it is rare to find two in a row painted the same color. It is said that fishermen did this to recognize their own house from afar on foggy days.
I also noticed that many houses have exterior curtains on the doors; they say this is so that air circulates better inside the houses without having to show the home’s privacy. I also found many balconies decorated with flowers, which add an additional touch of beauty to the place.
In general, the architecture follows a fairly common pattern: rectangular doors and windows or with an arch at the top, tiled roofs, and cobblestone streets.
The canals, three in total, divide the area into four islands, which are connected by eight simply constructed bridges. Along the canal banks, you can see boats that are widely used as a means of transportation.
In reality, the tour I took around Burano was worth it; I really enjoyed taking a good number of photos for my archive.

Un amigo me recomendo insistentemente que no debía dejar de ir a Burano por ser un lugar muy pintoresco. le hice caso y una mañana tomé el Vaporetto con destino a ese lugar.
Cuando desembarqué, se veían aún muy pocas personas en las calles cercanas al muelle. Lo primero que noté es que la mayoría de las calles son estrechas y no siguen una linea recta, mas bien tienen un trazado sinuoso.
Lo de pintoresco si se nota nada más te adentras un poco en la ciudad. Las casas tienen vivos colores y es raro encontrar dos seguidas pintadas del mismo color. Cuentan que esto lo hacían los pescadores para reconocer desde lejos su propia casa en los días de neblina densa.
También noté que muchas casas tienen cortinas exteriores en la puerta, dicen que es para que el aire circule mejor dentro de las casas sin tener que mostrar la intimidad del hogar. También encontré muchos balcones adornados con flores que le dan un toque de belleza adicinal al lugar.
En general, la arquitectura sigue un patrón bastante común, puertas y bentanas rectangulares o con un arco en la parte superior, techos de teja y las calles empedradas.
Los canales, tres en total, dividen el lugar en cuatro islas, que se conectan entre si por ocho puentes de una construcción sencilla. Uno de los puentes, que es mas grande que el resto, conecta a Burano con otra isla Vecina llamada Mazzorbo. A la orilla de los canales pueden verse embarcaciones que son muy utilizadas como medio de transporte.
En realidad valió la pena el recorrido que hice por Burano, disfruté mucho haciendo una buena cantidad de fotos para mi archivo.
