Mina Magazine #5 | Experimental photography

in Photography Lovers2 years ago (edited)

The new issue of Mina was released last week and we chose to talk about art and technique, a symbiosis necessary for the existence of artwork.

We believe that there is a mutualism between art and technique, so that one does not exist without the other when we are talking about "artistic making".

In this issue we have brought seven artists who work with different techniques in photography and lithography, talking about their personal experiences and creative processes that are often totally experimental.

The cover of our issue is a work by English artist Zara Carpenter.

I leave you with the editorial and the article by philosopher and social scientist Jessica Valmorbida. The photos that illustrate the article are my own and are part of my studies with cyanotype and other alternative processes.

The magazine can be read and downloaded in full (and for free) here. Those who wish to support our project can collect an issue or follow us on Twitter and Instagram.

Enjoy reading!
