The rose bush in the backyard

A while ago I planted rose cuttings in my backyard and some of them took hold and started to bloom beautifully. Recently, one of these little rose bushes was starting to get cramped in its pot, so I transplanted it into a larger pot. I did this very carefully so as not to damage its roots and so that it wouldn't suffer so much from the impact of the change.

Then, recently, my aunt told me that when one of the buds was about to fall apart completely, I should cut it off just below the flower and spread the core of the rose in the pot. That way the plant would produce many new buds.

I confess that it didn't make much sense, but I decided to give it a try. I ended up going away soon after on vacation and when I came back, my rose bush was strong, full of new, closed buds waiting to open.
I don't really know if it was connected or if it just enjoyed the summer rains, but what matters is that it now looks like a small tree and has never looked so beautiful.

I took these photos on a cloudy day and I liked the result. I hope you like them too.
