Here are a few pigs living their best life.
The happiest pig lays in mud with a bud.
This one has no one to lay down with so it is busy squishing around in the muck.
These ones chose soft hay and sun to warm up in.
They even have an inn and suite to keep the wind off of them.
Old one stripe is busy shooing others away from her patch of mud.
She wags her tail when she can manage to steal some hay from another.
This one is laying flat in the Chinese economy.
All pigs are created equal, some are more equal than others though when they get warmed on all sides by others.
Old one stripe is really making a mess now digging deep to chew tree roots.
Pinky got a few hard walnuts to crunch, what a bitter shell for such a small treat.
Now its time to take another nap while not worrying about the farmer fattening them up.
That's all for now, thanks for looking :-)
Thanks again @scrooger :-)
What a sweet pigs!!!
They were enjoying the warm weather.
One of my favorite books. I got to reread some of the classics when my boys were assigned them in school. Fun pics and narrative 👍
That dastardly snowball ran off to South America. I remeber reading it in middle school thinking it was only about animals lol.

Oh, pigs. I'm sorry you have to be so scrumptious, but grateful for your apparent oblivion to your fate.
So true, i suspect its what demons in the realm next to us say to eachother about humans lol.
FYI: Pigs are actually very clean animals, but lack the ability to sweat. They prefer clean and dry usually. In the summer when it is hot is when they need the mud to cool down. If they are white, it also serves as sunblock.
We didn't have a wet area here for our pigs, so I built a shaded piggy dripper to make mud in summer:

Its always a battle with the dripper. My wife used to raise a pig each year and she went through many iterations of drippers lol. But it was in arizona so I suspect the pigs wanted loads more mud.
