California dreaming

TriValley

Seven years ago I lived in California. Seven years ago I found out about Steemit. Friday was my seven year birthday on the blockchain. This is a view of the Tri-Valley area east of San Francisco where I lived.

Mount Diablo

Much has changed. Hive became the new home to many of us from Steemit. Vermont became my new home.

Central Valley

I found a few pictures of my old life in California. This is a wetlands from the central valley on the Pacific flyway for migratory birds. Now I am on the Atlantic flyway.

Half Moon Bay

The coast was also a short drive. Our favorite place was Half Moon Bay. I'm a bit further from the coast now. No deep thoughts marking seven years or the changes in my life. I enjoyed California. I now enjoy Vermont. I guess my advice would be live in the moment. There is always something to appreciate, something to be grateful for, something beautiful. Enjoy ✌️

Happy 7th cake day on Hive/Steemit. My 7th is right around the corner, on the 29th. Like you, I left California and live a bit further from the coast (Gulf of Mexico). Enjoy your weekend!

Thanks! well at least we both got the first part right... leaving California 🙂

I'm beginning to fear that it followed me. My wife showed me a meme the other day, a map of Texas divided into Northern Texas, Southern Texas, etc. The area where we live was labeled "Eastern California."

We fled California once before and lived for eight years in Colorado. A radio station there conducted a poll about "What do you hate about Colorado?" The number one answer was "too many Californians." Number two was "no In-N-Out Burger," a complaint from all the California ex-pats.

Wise words!

Thanks 🙏🙏 looks like you are on year 7 as well 🙂

Something like that

What different and beautiful landscapes!

Thanks. California is a really diverse state. Mountains to beaches and everything in between.

California must be really beautiful, it looks that way from your photos.

I agree that you have to live in the moment and enjoy where you are without regrets of the past but keeping the good memories.

But if you had to choose, did you feel better in California or where you are now?
