Market Friday a few shops downtown

A post for Market Friday hosted by @dswigle, if you haven't followed her yet you should she is one of the kindest and most supportive people here on Hive, a comment from her is like a ray of sunshine on your page.
This is the one tag and challenge that I always make a point of joining, and also look through the posts of others that join the challenge and seeing markets from all around the world.

For this weeks post, I had to dig into my archives since I haven't been out for many walks recently and when I did I haven't got any new photos for market Friday posts.
For this walk I am sharing a few shots of some shops downtown, I haven't been into any of these shops as most of the time i have taken walks in this area its either been early morning, or on a Sunday when the shops are closed partially due to avoiding busy places when Covid was at its peak, and the simple fact that I like avoiding crowded or busy places or streets generally anyways LOL

This is a cool area with the Cobblestone streets and a mix of shops here, in this first shot you can see the ones I focus on for this post, along with a barber shop ( which its bene a while since I got my hair caut and I must go and get done soon) and the Gallery, which I thought i had got a photo of, but I didnt get a shot of on its own

Here we have Paradise McFee, an art gallery which I found online described as

A multi-cultural, multi-purpose gathering space, multi-media studio, retail pop-up and modern art gallery.

Sounds interesting i must go and check it out sometime

and next up we have U7, described as

Hip, compact shop offering a variety of gently used, designer sneakers, streetwear & accessories.

and another shot of the Mcfee Studios, I also dfound out this about this store

After 9 years working in the Harrison Ave Studios in Boston’s S.O.W.A Art District, Paradise Mcfee moved his gallery and studio to New Bedford’s historic downtown.

And I like to have five photos in posts so this one is on a different street and is the sign for New Bedford Luxury Exchange, a curated consignment store for luxury goods

I've not been to New Bedford for some time and I always forget how nice it is there. I remember a great cafe and a really cool record shop I think?

It is a cool city I still have lots of it to explore I have seen a few cafes and I think a record shop but forget where it was at the moment

Thanks for sharing more of your downtown. I love the feel of old streets and buildings with galleries and shops to keep them modern and relevant and most importantly interesting for browsing and walking. Happy Friday. Happy #marketfriday

Thanks for your visit have a great day and weekend ;)

I love cobblestone streets. Probably not to fun to ride a bike on though! That last store looks pretty cool. Maybe out of my price range though if it is luxury goods! Fantastic shots! I think we are pretty close to the weather being a bit more agreeable now!

Yeah driving of biking on those streets can be a bit bone shaking
Even if or when I could afford it, if a saw a shop with the word Luxury I would avoid it myself, I am more down to earth kind of guy

Have a great day and weekend

Yes, I am more that type too honestly. I hope you have a great weekend too.

I love those cobblestone streets. So classy.

A high end luxury good consignment store sounds pretty neat. I'm accustomed to 'thrift' stores, which are about the exact opposite! 😂

I do love them, although driving or biking over them can be bone shaking lOL

Yeah I guess it does, I guess I am more down to Earth where I see a shop listing itself as selling Luxury items it puts me off the place

Cool little shops @tattoodjay 😎
Looks like the art world is well presented in your little corner of the world.
I like the cobblestones. Brings so much character to a street.

Yes plenty of art and art shops around here, and I to do love those cobblestone streets

That is always nice to see, here you hardly find any art shops.

Cool set, I like shopping areas like this. Classic street facing storefront and neat shops.

Yeah it’s a nice well kept part of town I to like this style

So many shops like that are now closing after this whole pandemic situation.

Sadly that is true the whole world over so many small as I like to call them Mom and Pop stores have had to shut down

I like cobblestone streets.
Gives you the feeling of old.
Cool stuff!
