Mono Monday is for the birds

Mono Monday is for the birds

Good morning the start of another week, now the title is not really apt I should say this Mono post is all about the birds.

Most of these shots are from last year, only the last one is somewhat r4ecent and with my new camera, I am looking forward to Winter giving up onus and moving on and letting spring in for new growth, warmer weather and the chance to get out and try and get some new photos of birds and try out again the eye Auto Focus feature on my new camera.
Starting with this shot of this one happily posing for me in the Pond at Buttonwood Park here in New Bedford

Now I perhaps sound like I am complaining about the weather, I am looking forward to warmer weather and nicer days but I cant complain the temps seems to be slowing rising, but winter is still holding on, they are saying we may get some more snow this evening, but nothing of consequence and nothing much will settle.

Another Canadian Guess on the pond I liked the ripples and distorted reflections around this one

Now I am no expert on duck species but these ones look like dapper and stylish to me
Looking online I think they may be some type of mergansers, but as I said I am no expert and may well have got that wrong

Canada Geese always look so peaceful when floating/swimming on the water. Watching them is a nice way to kick back and relax.

Indeed I do agree watching them is so relaxing

Canadian Geese are flying overhead in Vermont right now. Heading north thats a good sign 🙂 Nice post. Sharp contrast of Canadian Geese makes for great mono shots.

I think I heard them this morning as well indeed a very good sign

I would like to someday take photos of birds!
Maybe I would be given an opportunity in the future.
Very nice photos, @tattoodjay.
I can imagine them gliding in the water.

One day you will 😎

I don’t have much luck with them myself I hope to do better this year

You are near water,..
The river I go to don't have ducks.
That other place I discovered last Wednesday is my best bet...
if I ever have tine again, hehehe!

Finding time is often the challenge isnt it :)

It's great to see the birds in your photos, so beautiful and artistic ❤️❤️

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

Such incredible beauty of birds so well captured. ❤️ Magnificent and so lovely details you capture. Great work dear. God bless you.

I love Canadian geese! Being back in Canada and living by a huge river, I definitely get to see them more often, and love it! Your shots are so fantastic, of all the birds ❤️

I to love the Canadian geese but not so much the mess they leave all around

Long time no see I hope all is well with you

Yes the mess is not fantastic. It will be time for their babies to be made soon though, so that I’m excited about.

I am doing well. I hope the same for you. I plan to be around more 😁

Ohh yea being in spring new life in nature is always such a joy to see

Glad to hear your back again

Thanks! Glad to be back and see some familiar friendly faces. Needed some time to figure things out. Glad to be back stronger than ever.

Most welcome
