Small and Courageous Plants of the Arctic

in Photography Lovers2 years ago (edited)

As I have already said, the far north is quite stingy with bright colors. We have here the monotony of a huge space, on which there is nothing but grass, stones or snow. And even more landscaped areas, mountains, dense forests and swampy hills are monotonous in color most of the year.

Beautiful as always! Although we have the opposite extremes to you, the land around my house is also adapted to moss that grows on rocks and other plants that survive in cracks and little soil

It's over. Plants are emerging, budding and flowering, the windy month is here caused by the landmass heating up, it's still cold at night but temperatures are rising rapidly

Wow… I’m in awe with your captures of soooo much beauty @thenortherner 🥰 one photo is more beautiful than the next one.
I love the delicate flowers talking to each other.
The berries… the colours of them all. Stunning.
You did a great job collecting the berries. I had heard of them before.
I so would like to visit one day these regions. 🥰😊 just wander around, observe nature and all it’s plants, even the little hidden ones. 😎
Have a wonderful weekend further, sorry been a bit absent, wasn’t well the last week. But slowly back again. 👋🏻😊

Thank you 😊 that sounds lovely, sadly not possible.
Nothing to worry about, just a flu/ bad cold that knocked me over. But it is better today than the last week. So I see a change… end of next week I will hopefully be fine again. 🤞🏻
I rest a bit longer…

You captured some beautiful flowers, dear Northman. The lovely water lilies are about the same size here. I never heard of the cloudberry~ the blueberries look the same as the ones that grow in my yard.

I like how you photographed the mountains in layers.

Is that your handsome dog? Much like a husky with amazing blue eyes.

I haven’t seen that type of berry but it could be here, dear Northman, I meant to mention the awesome first two photos of the large rock situated on the smaller rocks and wondered if that just happened or if a northern giant placed the huge rock there. 😆 Also the lone bent-over mushroom made an interesting addition to the image.

Wishing you a great Sunday! 😊

beautiful flowers😍

That drosera is adorable!

These photos are amazing📸🤩

Stunning captures and the information is very interesting, thanks for this gem

Did you take all the pictures by yourself? Amazing!

Your macro photos are amazing. I wonder where you live to see a lot of beautiful plants.

Fascinating post about how things survive in the north. Love your photos, particularly of the berry flowers.

it is awesome how such a variety of lifeforms survive seemingly impossible conditions.
great shots. the cloudberries are just getting ripe near here these days. we will go pick some next week i hope

What is the story behind the rock formation??? And where is it located? I've never seen anything like it... It sort of made me think of Stonehenge.
