The Apogee of a Small Life

As they say, Summer is a small life. And a vacation in the middle of summer is the apogee of that life. I sincerely apologize to my regular readers, and I dare to use this word- friends here, who, I hope, enjoyed some of my posts, for being gone for two weeks. I was on a wonderful vacation.

YOu're right - looking back on photos are usually happy memories. When I was stuck in lockdown in the UK early 2020 there was a ton of anxiety and frustration, yet the photos from that time just beam with loveliness, reminding us of the good, dimming the bad.

And I'm with you - pack as much life as you can into these days, so that you can look back and remember such amazingness.

Glad you had a nice time, and happy birthday. Oh, and well done for using 'apogee' in a post. It's ever so rarely used in such a lovely way. Sorry, I can be a little bit of a word geek as I'm sure you are too.

Happy belated birthday, dear Northman. 🎉 I was wondering where you were and if you were okay. Looks like a wonderful vacation with a side visit to grandparents and friends.

The scenery is beautiful with sunset rays. I like the view of the big rocks and the large fish putting on a show for you. The weather must have been warm as I see the people walking around without coats. ☀️

Time goes fast when you are enjoying life. Have a great weekend. 😊

Best way to relax and wait to see what happens is with no plan, well done!

Remote always beautiful, although that beach a tad busy to my liking, it is summer up there, sharing your part of the world I can imagine becomes busier each passing year as people seek refuge in remote places.

Dolphin rising out of the water another great sighting. Great to learn you took a proper break away from a busy world.

!BEER - Happy Belated Birthday

Enjoy the beer in the sunshine while it is out, wishing you a wonderful year ahead.

Always a worry when too many arrive, extra pressure on ecosystem no matter how well crowds are controlled some plain and simply never listen.

Hopefully Iceland will remain one of the pure beauties one can enjoy, living there is a treat, although many months spent in the dark.

It looks like you enjoyed your vacation. Beautiful scenery. The skies look spectacular.

You and your quality content have been missed but I applaud you on taking an actual vacation. I guess Hive is more than just a job for me ( after 5 years spent on here ), it has grown into an extra limb.

Welcome back!

What a wonderful gifts Mother Nature gave you. Beautiful to see.

Visiting the grandparents and the area they live, it looks amazing.
Great to write these thoughts down and share impressions from a holiday… good or bad. And you are right we don’t tend to capture the bad ones.
Have a wonderful Friday 😁👋🏻

You are so welcome @thenortherner 👋🏻😁 thanks a lot!
It was amazing, we had such a great time… and saw so much on average we walked about 14km each day… hehehe
We went way of the beaten path and saw much more than most would do. I did post a few posts from Paris already, more will follow.
Have a wonderful weekend further, enjoy 😊

This is a very beautiful landscape, I really loved seeing those imposing rocks, the colorful sunsets and their combination with the deep blue of the sea.

The scenery is breath-taking. It looks like an amazing trip. Can you say what happened to your village, and why it is dying? It looks like such a beautiful place to live...
