Two Lazy Bums - Happy Caturday!

Even though they have murder mittens, I love these two to death and can't imagine not having them around. Even though Maesi clawed her nails inside my foot about a month ago, she would have never done that on purpose as she's all about healing me over hurting me, haha.

She knows very well when something is up with my health or that I'm in pain and is the first to climb on top of me and starts to make biscuits and make this extremely calming healing sound called purring. She gets into the flow quickly and it's really zen to watch her do it. The end result is mostly that I'm relaxed and that the blanket she's licking while on duty is soaking wet, haha. All for the good cause of being my little healer though.. she's the best!

Luna, the most adorable one!

Then we have this orange and white fluffball called Luna who is mostly silent (unlike Maesi) but is slowly picking up on how to meow when she needs something (mostly from me) such as food! It's a routine we have, I can see instantly when I have a chance of hearing her meow by looking at how she looks at me. If she's full on focussed staring into my eyes and I say to her "I love you" she often meows back at me and it's getting more and more adorable and often a bit louder than usual as well.

The trick is mostly to have her stare at me before I try to lure her into a meow. But this girl is getting smarter as she grows because whenever she's in the bathroom waiting for me to open the water so she can groom her white fur (and drink a bit), but doesn't see me look at her quickly enough, she now sometimes meows at me when I pass her without the stare into my eyes part, haha.

It's quite cute and every time she does it me and my daughter are like "ohhhhhh, did you hear that? Luna, you are so sweet!" because she surely doesn't sound like a big cat but like a tiny little kitten who is still learning how to use her voice.

They are part of the family

I still remember how my tiny Luna was very malnourished and kept alive for weeks by her wonderful foster mommy, who had to feed her every few hours while everything kept coming out right away for a few weeks straight. If it wasnt't for her care, Luna would not be with us. She's now the biggest one of the two and right after her sterilisation, her belly turned round, she looks like she swallowed a melon but doesn't have discomfort..

Maesi was the toughest one as a kitten, but is now the pussy of the house, scared when the doorbell rings, she races to the second bedroom to hide behind the toilet until it's safe. I have no clue where that came from, the only one she is not afraid of is our daughter's tutor, in fact, she loves her and wants to sit on top of her constantly. It must be because she was around a lot when Maesi was a kitten, she trusts her like she trusts us.

Today we planned on visiting a flea market but the weather is bad, rainy and windy so we'll stay in and snuggle on the couch with our furrballs..
