The Bund promenade is probably the most famous photo spot in Shanghai and I was really looking forward to this unique view of the skyline of the Chinese metropolis. So my first walk on my first evening in Shanghai took me straight there. The rainy weather didn't bother me - quite the opposite was the case. Here you could see where skyscrapers got their name from. The tallest buildings in the city were constantly shrouded in passing clouds, which created interesting diffusion effects in combination with their lighting. I was also able to use reflections on the ground to mirror the city lights. It was a real wow moment standing in front of this futuristic skyline for the first time.
Die Uferpromenade "The Bund" ist wohl der berühmteste Foto-Spot in Shanghai und ich freute mich wahnsinnig, auf diese einmalige Aussicht auf die Skyline der chinesischen Metropole. Somit führte mich mein erster Spaziergang an meinem ersten Abend in Shanghai direkt dorthin. Das regnerische Wetter störte mich dabei nicht – ganz im Gegenteil. Hier konnte man beobachten, woher Wolkenkratzer ihren Namen haben. Denn die höchsten Gebäude der Stadt waren ständig in vorrüberziehende Wolken eingehüllt, was für interessante Diffusionseffekte in Kombination mit deren Beleuchtung sorgte. Außerdem konnte ich Reflexionen am Boden nutzen, um die Lichter der Stadt zu spiegeln. Es war ein wirklicher Wow-Moment, zum ersten Mal vor dieser futuristischen Skyline zu stehen.
