Hello everyone! Somehow it's been two months since I last posted... I was busy focusing on building my photography business and just didn't have a whole ton of inspiration to write. This probably worked out because I wasn't shooting much for the same reason, and would have ran out of things to write about.
But I've started to get out and shoot again. We were lucky and had this snap of amazing, foggy weather. Here are my favorites from that day!

Without a doubt this was my most productive day of landscape photography, ever. The light was perfect and I very much felt like I'd achieved what some people call a 'flow state'. It was also my first time using the Nikon Z6 ii and 14-30mm lens, which I had recently upgraded to. Thanks to the in body stabilization I did not have to rely on my tripod, which was a freeing experience. I find them quite cumbersome and distracting - anyone else feel the same way?
Wow! To be honest, I haven't seen such great landscape photos for a while!

What a day of shooting!
I agree about the tripod. I feel so limited when shooting on a tripod, maybe because when I try to slow down and find a good comp I usually find a different or better one after I get all set up.
Yeah, with a tripod it's harder to iterate on a composition for something better. For me it also breaks my focus and immersion in the environment when I have to screw around and contort the tripod legs in some crazy position for the angle I want lol. With IBIS the camera feels more like a direct and natural extension of myself.
I might have to write a blog solely on this topic!
