Everyone knows the story of the Afghan Girl portrait photographed by the widely known photographer Steve McCurry in 1984. Her name is Sharbat Gula, and at this moment she was an Afghan refugee fled to Pakistani city of Peshawar. At the moment of taking the portrait, she was just a 12 years old girl.
In 2002 Steve McCurry's team found her again, and the photographer took another portrait of her.
The story was continued when recently i found her portrait on the jalousie of some closed store in the Northern city of Haifa. When I photographed this portrait and walked away along the street, I met another store owner, sitting in a sunny place and drinking his morning coffee. After a short conversation, I learned that this is the Artist who painted this portrait on the jalousie of the closed store. Live is a circle and this earth is very small.
