Street Photography: Vigan City at 5PM

The busy streets do not let the dreams die.

Now that my on the job training is on going, many changes from my normal schedule and routine have changed. From adapting to a new environment, coexisting with new people, and learning new things, I also created little ways to see the silver lining in this important chapter of my life.

Almost always busy but at times, I try to capture the tiny things that will make me remember these days.

One of the views from the bank is another bank. I just really love how the city managed to instruct that all buildings in the city proper must be in accordance with our culture and history.

After I depart from the office, I’ll have two tricycle rides in order to get home, however, in order to save some money, I decided to walk from the office to our town’s public market where tricycles routed to our barangay are parked.

I usually hold my timecard, wallet, and my phone. I am relieved that there are not yet reported snatchers in the city or else I wouldn't bother to hold my valuables.

It is rush hour, employees and students are going home.

It subtle but while everything around me is buzzing, I can find solace observing the people walking around while some are stuck in the traffic.

It’s amazing how this tiny city can hold vast amount of different people, stories, and beauty.

This is the Quezon Avenue, it's usually where vehicles enter the small town. There many commercial establishments standing up here. As you can see, there's a church at the end but as of now, it is under renovation due to the damages brought by the earthquake.

There are also glimpses of nature. Everything looks serene. Plants thrive in this busy city.

Before getting to my destination, I also walked past historical structures like the brick walls that's been standing for couple of decades. Indeed, the city reserves all of these.

Finally, there's the public market. I was able to save a little, especially that tricycle fare is expensive.

May these streets always be running with hope and desire from people who yearn to meet their soul.

Once again, it's the little things that matter. Hope you liked the photos I took. Looking forward to share more snaps in this community soon.

Words & photos by yours truly.

wow, can you tell me more about the brick wall you said that has been standing for couple of decades , how significant is it in the location? what does the brick wall protect ? looking forward to
knowing about the brick wall😊

I think it's been a part of a structure. There are many brick walls in the city which were built during the Spanish era. The city govt is preserving it tho sadly some has been destroyed by the earthquake :)

The color of your picture reminds me of the picture in the 80s. For sure the weather has something to do with the color.

Yes, and maybe the the color of the sun setting down added up! Hehe
