White and Blue

Hello, dear readers!

I’m not quite sure how to start, but I’d love to share some photos from my spring trip. Back in March, I visited a friend in Spain and spent a fabulous day in Peñíscola — a beautiful coastal town. Its old town sits on a scenic peninsula, connected to the mainland by a narrow strip of land. The white-and-blue color palette reminded me of Santorini in Greece.

Another unique feature of these dazzling white houses with sky-blue shutters is the tilework — reminiscent of Portuguese azulejos. The tiles decorate the undersides of balconies, perfectly positioned for passersby to admire from the street below. Walking past, it’s impossible not to pause for a moment to take in the intricate patterns that add even more charm to the town.

This particular balcony really caught my eye — not just because of the tiles, but also because of the stunning succulent. Its leaves were bursting with such rich, vibrant colors, could I walk past without stopping?

I've put together a collection of photos of this blue-and-white beauty. Just the balconies, windows, doors, arches... And funny details.

And, as they say, saving the best for last. There’s one house in Peñíscola that’s truly impossible to miss — its entire facade is covered in real seashells. It’s one of the town’s most iconic spots, constantly drawing crowds of tourists eager to take a photo. And I don’t blame them — it is one-of-a-kind and looks absolutely magical.

The place is beautiful, but the balcony with the doll looks scary to me 😅. At first I thought it was a real child, I had to focus my gaze.

Oh wow these are great pictures! The blue and white is beautiful and love all the details. That is quite the house with the seashells. Great post.

Thank you, Sarah! I loved every little detail there — it was such a photogenic place.

Hey @edgerik, here is a little bit of BEER from @zirochka for you. Enjoy it!

Did you know that <a href='https://dcity.io/cityyou can use BEER at dCity game to buy cards to rule the world.

You have such a good eye for details, I would have never noticed those succulents among the sign. My sister has lots of them in her garden, they're not the prettiest but quite dramatic.

My friend (the one I was visiting) is a fan of succulents and have a few in her garden, but that particular one in the photo looked stunning because of its colour.

Coastal cities have always been interesting to me

For reason 🙂

🌺🌺🌺🥰🥰🥰🥰very very nice

Such a wonderful setting, beautifully photographed. The colors pair so well with each other, like a Mediterranean summer dream. Thank you for sharing!
