So, I've joined Hive a couple of weeks ago and one of the games I got going with is Rising Star. Very good game and whilst relatively basic I like the way you can progress with ad-hoc engagement.
Over the last few days I have been progresing a few levels - now at Level 10. However, the frustrating thing is that I kept losing all the fans. (Apparently, my fans were all drunk and they just forgot about me 😂😂) As a result of losing all the fans, you finish having to go back to the Illegal Busking Level.
Today I have just discovered the Basic Singing Lessons. I am hoping that this can give me a bit more composure and get me a few more non-drunk fans....whilst allowing me to progress further. Will it? Any further suggestions from you?? Thank you 😊

You need to gain permeant fans through music cards or fan cards which you can buy both as NFTs. I would suggest initially there are some NFTs worth buying like some fans and pizza but after that you can by packs of cards through the game.

Check which token to use to buy as some times you find a deal being much cheaper. Swap.hive vs. starbits for example.
NFT music cards have different properties. For example, here is my drummer Brian
You can see he comes with 150 fans and 150 skill. So those fans stick and the more cards you get the more you can progress through the levels.
The skill is only needed later in the game when ego kicks in. For the first few levels ego isn't a problem but when it does, you need skill which you can get from cards or music lessons. That keeps your ego level below your skill level.

Hey @awah Yes that URL helps. I was looking to buy packs from the game itself but I was reading that that was manual / Discord etc. This makes sense now. The great thing about playing RS is that am getting used to quite a few other concepts like HE/NFTs etc. All great to facilitate the learning whilst also having some fun with good background music to help burn the midnight oil 😁Cheers
When you get going packs might work quite well but my strategy when I started was to be a bit more tactical when I first started to get specific cards that would help me. Like !PIZZA is great.
Get some cold pizza and a pizza box at least.

There are various ways to play the game. At the start progress may be slow and you have to decide if you want to spend on cards. You can buy some that give you more fans so you get more Starbits per mission. Lessons give you skill and that comes into play when you have more fans than skill which leads to ego problems. That can reduce your rewards, but may not be a factor for you yet. I would keep grinding on the missions you can do for now. You will need more fans to do some of them so you can buy cards or take a chance on a pack.
It's all fun as far as I'm concerned, but then I like to collect all the cards.

I don't think ego kicks in until you have a fair few fans. He had to add various ways to make people run different missions to limit how much they can make. Not easy to create an working economy.
