In this section, I will no longer be handing out STARBITS, as those entries are not allowed. However, I will continue to share high-quality songs, share how I discovered them, and share some interesting facts about them. To top it all off, I will also include several tables with the statistics compiled by the Rising Star game.
Since May, I have been creating a playlist to keep track of the latest songs I have discussed in my posts. This will help me remember whether I have already talked about a song before or not. The most recent one is Me Vas a Extrañar from the argentine band Damas Gratis.
I was made for loving you: Mona Jimenez
My song of choice on Spotify for today's post is I was made for loving you of the legendary artist La Mona Jimenez.
The other day I was talking to some friends on Discord voice chat. When one of them, snooping on my Discord activity, discovered that I was listening to the song I Was Made For Lovin You by Kiss, the same song I had uploaded a few days ago for a post.
As soon as he realized this, he asked me if I knew the best version of that song. The truth is that I didn't know there was another version and I didn't quite understand. I was even more confused when I heard that Mona Jimenez had a version of the song, at which point I thought I was completely delusional.
But that wasn't the case. After a Google search to confirm what my colleague had told me, I came across one of the most random things I've ever seen in my life: the most important artist of the quartet singing a song in English by the band Kiss.
Regarding this version, I actually liked it quite a bit. I feel that it adds a very unique cumbia touch to the original song, accompanied by La Mona's poor English pronunciation, resulting in a good song to listen to casually.
“I Was Made for Lovin' You” is one of the most iconic songs by the band KISS, released in 1979. Over time, it became one of the biggest hits of their career and a true rock classic. La Mona Jimenéz is one of the leading figures of the Cordoba quartet and made an advertisement with one of Argentina's most important beer brands, Quilmés.
They are well known for launching creative television commercials, and on this occasion, they attempted to recreate a scene from Argentine history. So they put together a whole production for La Mona Jiménez to perform one of Kiss's most iconic songs alongside all the members of the band. Despite being released as a kind of joke, I Was Made for Lovin You by Mona Jimenez had 200,000 views on Spotify and just over 100,000 views on YouTube.
My Stats and Advertising Space
Before moving on to the stats table I compiled for this post, I'll share my Rising Star game stats, which I compiled using a tool I created on my Rising Star Utils website. This tool shows details like the number of legendary, epic, and rare cards, your luck in each lesson type (Piano/Guitar/Production/Orchestra/Microphone/Drums).
The tool has a one-hour delay for account queries; data will not be updated during that time.
At Rising Star Utils, you'll find the best tool for buying Rising Star cards at the lowest price available, whether you're looking to sort them by fans, skill, or luck, or you want to complete your special collection as economically as possible.
