Friends we start first as usual with the music news. I tell you that just 2 days ago, that is to say last August 16, the band Foster the People released a new record work, in this case an album. This new album is called Paradise State of Mind. And here I open the first parenthesis to leave you my opinion on this point. I personally find the name quite curious. Above all because it gives you many clues of what the album is going to be about and gives room for several interpretations. In my case, the first time I saw it, it gave me the feeling of a relaxing or meditation music album. But I already tell you that it is not that haha😀. That's why I said that the title was curious to me.

By the way, I haven't told you that this album is the first work of this band in more than 7 years of inactivity without releasing new albums. I have already listened to several of their works and if I remember correctly the last one they did was back in 2017. That album was called and is still called haha, Sacred Hearts Club.

I keep telling you that the album is quite balanced in terms of the amount of songs it has, since it only has a total of 11 songs. In my personal opinion, I think it has the right amount of songs. I don't like those albums that are excessive in the amount of songs. A few days ago I told you about 2 extremes. First an album that had more than 55 songs, that to me is barbaric haha😅. And the other extreme was a small album of 3 songs. I think it's better to catalog it as an EP. That's why I say that this work has the right amount of songs, for my part I see it as well balanced.

I still haven't talked to you as I always do about the genres that are on the album. As you know I always like to tell you this specific detail. The first thing you should know is that this band is multifaceted. At least to my perception I do not categorize it with a genre, since they have released several songs with different approaches. But well, if we have to highlight some of them in this album, rock is clearly present, but more towards pop, don't think that this is a hard rock album haha😀. Also present are funk-disco, some psychedelic music and even blues, well this according to what I heard, I'm sure that if an expert reads this he will correct me.

Now I want to tell you what is for me the best song of the album. I listened to them all several times, so I can tell you that Lost in Space is one of the best, at least for me. But I tell you why, first of all I am a fan of synthesizers, in fact it is one of my favorite instruments after the violin. And well in this specific song they are very present, so it connects well with me. I also think it's one of the songs that makes the most reference to the title of the album. However if you listened to the album and you think there is a better one, you know I'd love to read your comment about it.

And by the way friends, something I had not told you about. The cover of the album is quite interesting, I think it fits very well with the title too, because it can be interpreted in several ways. The cover shows, according to me, a room of some house, with a floor that makes a kind of green waves. In the center there is a tree with a light and a rainbow coming out of it, as well as crows and other objects. I can't really explain to you for sure what this means. I guess everyone will have to interpret it in their own way haha😅.
