We have been waiting to see if the Hive price would increase again before making any changes to the pack prices but unfortunately it seems that it's dragging its feet. We have therefore had to increase the prices to reflect the current value and we will continue to monitor to price and make adjustments accordingly going forward.
- One Pack = 2.5 Hive / SWAP.HIVE
- 12 Card Pack = 25 Hive
- 24 Card Packs = 50 Hive
This has also meant that we have been able to increase the reward pool to 37 SWAP.HIVE for the same reason.

Why not just use HBD and not have to keep changing the price?
Maybe too logical.
But at least then the price of a pack is the price of a pack, Not a fluctuating price that can vary by 100's of percentage.
That's not a bad idea... HBD is quite well pegged these days and we should slowly transition from HIVE to HBD as the main currency for businesses in our ecosystem.

I think this might also be a good choice. Adding more utility to HBD is fairly good and HBD does go back to the $1 peg quite often.

On the face of it that seems like a good idea. However people tend to have Hive rather than HBD in their wallets so it is convenient. Having HBD would require a conversion which is something that many are not willing to do.

Okay I give up.
Of course I know people get HBD rewards but the fact is that most people have a lot more HIVE than HBD and it is a fact that many do not like to convert between currencies, they prefer convenience.
It's not just a case of looking at it logically you also have to take into account human nature.

On top of all this - it's cool to see a nice growth in Rising Star. NFTs get released often and it really feels like devs are constantly updating the game. You should probably start spending more time on marketing on different platforms. Maybe https://www.torum.com or https://odysee.com could be nice.
These days https://www.kongregate.com has so many idle games among most popular. Check out yourself. Rising Star is pretty close to an idle game. Difference is you can make money with it. Try marketing these aspects to normies 👨🔧☘️🚀

I often think about marketing but to be honest word of mouth is much more powerful and we have no particular goals in terms of how big we want to get.
At the moment the number of active players just keep going up steadily and that is absolutely fine with me!
Word of mouth is very powerful and have high conversion rates from what I've seen. With Hive getting more popular we should see at least some of that translate to more players. Good Luck 💪😎👍

This is exactly why HBD exists (like mentioned before) I think using HBD would relieve you of much future headaches :)
Please see my response above. I never have spare HBD and it would put me off having to convert my Hive to it. Maybe having both option however. That could work!
You can always convert in-game using some pool and show the equivalent in HIVE to the user (maybe show both options?)
That would imply some coding but a great QoL update for players, and not having to adjust pack prices every time HIVE moves in price.
Thanks for the suggestion. I have thought about this a lot but it's high risk. There are many things that can go wrong and cause and incorrect price to be used. One bug could effectively ruin the game overnight.
It looks like the price would not be affected if we buy using Starbits, or at least no change were made to the ingame store. That would be ideal !PIZZA
I agree that STARBITS is the best option and we did try this early on. As with the PayPal option people like the convenience of using whatever coin they have to hand and many do not want to go through the process of converting so it's good to give a choice.
That makes sense, you get to see how players really interact with your game, so you def know best. And I love the game you have made, it is one of my favorites for sure! Great work!

I understand that is necessary to ajust packs price since it is based on Hive and Hive can pump or dump and that is good because this way we dont let people out just because Hive pumped and now it's more expensive to buy packs.
But why increase the rewards pool?
Why we cannot use a litle part of this pack price increase to try to burn some Starbits from the market?
We do not make enough from pack sales to make an impact on the market by burning.
and add a fee of 2% or 3% in the marketplace?
The Starbits collected from that fee will be always burn and the other tokens can be used to do litle Starbits burns.
