Chapter 2: Grandfather's gift
Part 1
Since I was a child, pizza has been my favorite food, because I always eat it at special moments, when I got good grades at school, on my birthday, when I graduated from high school... Important moments are always ideal to eat pizza. However, telling the big news to my friends that I am going to emigrate to London to fall in love with a famous musician did not seem to them a special moment but a crazy one, the special moment became quite awkward.

You can hardly support yourself in this country and you are going to go to another one, where you don't have a relative, besides the climate and the people are very different," said Marco trying to convince his cousin.
-I think English people are sexy, I like their accent," said Ana, although Marco looked at her bitterly.

-I definitely agree with you Ana and yes I know I don't have anyone I know in London, but I'm tired of this town and I feel trapped, like in my comfort zone. I need to move forward in my life..." Marco suddenly interrupted her.
-Yes, Ali, it's fine if you tell me that you are leaving for a job or study opportunity, but you are doing it because you are idealizing a love, do you realize how little logic that has? - said Marco trying to make sense to his cousin Ali.

Anyway what you want to do with your life is your decision, as a friend I'm not going to stop you, I'm just telling you to think about it" said Ana, there was an uncomfortable silence between the three of them when the waitress arrived to take the order.
-Are you ready to order? - asked the waitress, Marcos stood up.
-Thank you for the invitation, but this is too much for me and I need to process all this information, don't worry I won't tell anyone. Just... think it over, okay? - said Marcos leaving the pizzeria

-Well I do want to order, that pepperoni pizza looks tasty," said Ana hungrily.
Ali had lost her appetite after all the conversation, however she didn't want to leave Ana eating alone, during the whole time they were eating the pizza they remained silent. Ali felt lonely and full of questions and insecurities, was what she was doing really crazy, but what was wrong with it? It wasn't going well where she was, but what if Marco was right? Maybe she should go to Mexico where there were some friends from her childhood, love would come with time... but she felt extremely bored with her life and wanted to do something exciting with her life, she was extremely tired of the routine.

Desde niña la pizza ha sido mi comida preferida, porque siempre la como en momentos especiales, cuando obtenía buenas califaciones en el colegio, en mi cumpleaños, cuando me gradué de bachiller… Siempre los momentos importantes son ideales para comer pizza. Sin embargo, contarles la gran noticia a mis amigos de que voy a emigrar a Londres para enamorarme de un músico famoso, no parecía para ellos un momento especial sino una locura, el momento especial pasó a ser bastante incómodo.

-Pero te has vuelto loca Alimar Hernandez ¿Cómo que te quieres ir a Londres a enamorarte de un músico? A penas te puedes sostener en este país y vas a ir a otro, donde no tienes a un familiar, además el clima y las personas son muy distintas- decía Marco tratando de convencer a su prima
-A mí me parece que los ingleses son sexy, me gusta su acento- opinó Ana, aunque Marco la miró con amargura.
-Gracias Ana de verdad que eres de ayuda- dijo Marco con sarcasmo
-Definitivamente coincido contigo Ana y si yo sé que no tengo a nadie conocido en Londres, pero estoy cansada de este pueblo y me siento atrapada, como en mi zona de confort. Necesito avanzar en mi vida…- de repente Marco la interrumpió
-Si Ali está bien si me dijeras, que te vas por una oportunidad de trabajo o de estudio, pero lo estás haciendo por idealizar un amor ¿te das cuenta de la poca lógica que tiene eso? - dijo Marco intentando entrar en razón a su prima Ali

-Es mi vida Marco, ya estoy grande para tomar mis decisiones, no te estoy diciendo todo esto para que me des tu opinión y si te parece o no, te estoy compartiendo lo que voy a hacer porque eres mi primo y eres el único familiar en quien confío - dijo Ali con tono molesta
-Ali la verdad me parece muy bonito la idea que quieras ir a Londres para encontrar el amor de tu vida y siempre te he apoyado en todos tus sueños, pero deberías escuchar a Marco, estoy segura que no te lo dice porque quiere bloquear tus metas, sino porque te quiere y no le gustaría que sufrieras allá, yo tampoco quisiera eso. De igual forma lo que quieras hacer con tu vida es tu decisión, como amiga no te voy a detener, solo te digo que lo pienses bien- dijo Ana, hubo un silencio incómodo entre los tres cuando llegó la mesera para atender el pedido.
- ¿Están listos para ordenar? - preguntó la mesera, Marcos se puso de pie
-Gracias por la invitación, pero esto es demasiado para mí y necesito procesar toda esta información, no te preocupes no le diré a nadie. Solo… piénsalo bien ¿sí? - dijo Marcos retirándose de la pizzería

-Bueno yo si quiero pedir, esa pizza de pepperoni se ve sabrosa- dijo Ana hambrienta
Ali había perdido el apetito después de toda la conversación sin embargo no quiso dejar a Ana comiendo sola, durante todo el rato en que comían la pizza permanecieron en silencio. Alí se sentía sola y llena de preguntas e inseguridades ¿en verdad lo que estaba haciendo era una locura? ¿pero que tiene de malo? Donde estaba no le iba bien pero ¿Y si Marco tenía razón? Talvez debía irse a Mexico ahí estaban algunas amigas de su infancia, el amor llegaría con el tiempo… pero se sentía sumamente aburrida con su vida y quería hacer algo emocionante con su vida, estaba sumamente cansada de la rutina.
