Midway through the 2009 VMAs, when Taylor Swift won video of the year, rapper Kanye West walked onstage and took the microphone from the singer to thank her. He then turned to the audience and said, "I'm sorry, Mr. Taylor, congratulations." Let me finish. But Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time! This exclamation point will stick in the minds of everyone present who disagrees with what she said. But she might have agreed with that statement. Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time and one of the songs that marked a milestone in the music industry.

Beyonce is a songwriter and has written many songs. But the Sasha Fierce aspect of the album required the help of co-writer The Dream, a singer-songwriter whose songs include Rihanna's "Umbrella" and Justin Bieber's "Baby." The singer had no idea what to write when she entered the studio with other producers, including Timbaland, but she began to let herself go and think in the moment.

Then, as before, I started to get emotional based on Beyoncé's personal story. The Dream explained at the time: “When I wrote 'Single Ladies,' Beyoncé was getting married for the first time in her life. I thought about what she thought about marriage."

But when she repeated that story years later in an interview with Genius, she said that she wanted to feel like Beyoncé more than anything. “I was trying to figure out what Beyoncé would say about it. You're in a relationship with this guy, who turns out to be Jay-Z, and you want him to do this. "How can I turn this into a table conversation?" That's how it was born. "Single Ladies" ran for 17 minutes and was said to be more emotional than expected.
