AFRI-TUNES WEEK #108/ LONELY AT THE TOP BY ASAKE/ COVERED BY SLEEMFIT✨. [ENG-ESP]

Hello everyone, welcome to our weekly contest here in the Afri-tunes community. For this week being our #108th week I'd be performing a song by Nigerian singer and songwriter Asake called "Lonely at the top". This record was released in the year #2023 off Asake's most recent album "Work of Art", I have chosen to perform this song because it resonates so deeply with me, it has an upbeat tempo and very catchy rhythm that transmits joy, happiness and would ultimately want you to move your body.

As the song the title implies "Lonely at the top", it talks about the struggles on ones journey to the top.... it's mainly a solitary one, no much support, no much funds and opportunity. People hardly wanna take a chance on people which makes it even harder and might delay your process.
Asake shares his personal journey on his way to the top, and also talks about the challenges encountered, the sacrifices he had to make just to get up there. Making it to the top requires loads of dedication, hard work, consistency and determination. This record basically explores the themes of ambition, resilience and the pursuit of one's dreams despite the odds.

Even after making it to the top, it could still be quite lonely, there are loads of challenges that can spring up...for instance you might lose some friends along the way, people start talking about you either for good or bad, a lot of controversies begin to come up about you. Some question your source of wealth, people become really envious of you, and at the top it's really hard to know who one can trust cause obviously you're big and people tend to respect those they find really big, not necessarily because they like you but because of what they stand to gain by just being in contact with you. It's really lonely at the top, so I'd just advise us to build meaningful and genuine relationships on our journey to the top. Hola a todos, bienvenidos a nuestro concurso semanal aquí en la comunidad Afri-tunes. Para esta semana, que es nuestra semana número 108, interpretaría una canción del cantante y compositor nigeriano Asake llamada "Lonely at the top".
