Hi fellow Hiveians,
Today I wanted to talk about having some hope, but also a healthy dose of skepticism that there will be any real change.
Tempered Hope
I think we all have to have some hope, but managing it is an important thing.
I am generally a really positive and happy person. I am able to really take a better perspective on a lot of things because there's a lot of nasty shit in the world. There are some things though that even I have my suspicions on, but I am trying to remain hopeful.
With the recent presidential elections in the United States, we are really turning a positive corner. There has been so much corruption, destruction and division in the US over the last few decades, it's really a crazy and sad thing to have witnessed. There is so much deep-seated division and fear among the people that it's going to be really hard to get rid of that. Combine that with the media repeating the same shit day in and day out to make people think Trump is the worst thing on the planet - and you've got a recipe of some pretty nasty shit.
I am not foolish and falling for the petty wedge issues like abortion or utterly pointless things like that, I am more interested in substantive things like taxes, war prevention, foreign policy, domestic policy and others.
There is a lot to be hopeful for, and the important stuff I am hopeful for is to try and get a semblance of balance back. The media has been circling the drain for a really long time, with such a strong progressive or "left" tilt on so many avenues that it's little wonder why a lot of people are brainwashed into thinking their strategy is a good one. I am not really a defined person in terms of politics, having voted for Bernie in 2016, Trump now, Ron Paul back in the day. I am basically voting for the people who are truly set on CHANGING the system to something that works better for the average person, instead of the political managerial class and their cronies that are the lobbyists. We've essentially got corporatism right now, and it's not good.
There are a number of people I read on a weekly basis that talk about these things and I don't profess to have all the ins and outs of it but with the recent results, I am hoping that we can turn a corner and get this ship back in a good direction.
With that comes cautious optimism. It has been so cancerous for so long, that it's really no surprise that I am incredibly cynical that Trump, with the really strong people he's appointed that I've been fans of for many years before this election, are going to actually be able to change or improve anything. Perhaps the simple fact that these true Americans are going to be leading these different organizations could be testament enough to how much things could be heading in the right direction, but I am suspicious.
There was such a strong affection for a boot-on-your-neck power during the Rona situation of the 2020 years by the political managerial people, that I know they are not going to be giving up any of their power willingly. This is what makes me suspicious. Because there are changes in governance, now all of a sudden they are going to give up their strangle hold? I am suspicious of that being the case, but I would like to be surprised, to say the least.
I don't trust, which is a good strategy, all of the people involved but I think the most important thing is that this time is indeed different. Trump is coming from experience - where he didn't know who to appoint before and made a lot of mistakes in appointments. This time he's had a long time to think, work with people, and get to know these different groups. With that, he is coming from a position of power with what he is doing. He isn't doing what every other president, including himself, has done and listened to what Goldman Sachs told him to do, what Blackrock said he needs to make for an appointment. He is making the choices himself, with people that are passionate about FIXING America. There are a lot of things broken with it, and a lot of people who are poisoned by the Woke mind virus that it's going to take a lot to turn the ship around, but I am cautiously optimistic that there will be positive change.
I am also waiting for the other shoe to drop, and this all be a load of horse shit, or just the same old shit as what Biden or Harris would be doing. There's also that, and that's terrifying.
What about you, are you hopeful that there will be a chance of positive improvements coming from a Trump team? Let me know in the comments!
