Mad people! Really?
When I say mad people, I do not say that as an insult or a derogatory remark. Rather I'm referring to the actual mad people. The people who for one reason or another have mental issues. They are “cray cray”, you may say.
I do not know about other countries but a good number of such people are left to roam the streets in my country. “As long as no one gets hurt”, right! . Mentally deranged people roaming the streets is a very intense issue that not many people seem to care about.
I've witnessed and also experienced very mild encounters with mentally deranged people. One of such encounters was when I was on my way to visit a friend. I decided to walk down to the friend’s place as it wasn't so far from my house. Half way through my journey, I saw this mentally deranged person walking towards me. I never used to be afraid of them so I just kept walking, creating space for the person to pass by me with no discomfort.
One minute, the lady was a few metres aways from me and the next minute she was actively making a move towards me. It felt like I was invisible and she wanted to pass through me. When she observed I wasn't frightened in the slightest, she started chasing me.
Lucky for me, my legs were still swift and somehow I managed to evade the situation. It was a very unsettling experience but, I'm not here to talk about how dangerous these people are.
The real question is “are these people safe?”
To reiterate, they are left to roam the streets, eating from dumpsters and finding shelter in only God knows where. Their lives are extremely terrible as it is, so why make it worse that it is for them?
There is a very popular mentally deranged lady who roams the streets where I live. Unlike regular mad people, she is reserved and minds her business as much as possible.
For a few months, she wasn't around so often and honestly, I didn't pay so much heed to it. Then, out of the blue, she resurfaces with a very big tummy. She is pregnant. I have seen very many thought-provoking sights but a mentally deranged pregnant lady isn't one of them.
The first inference one can make is that there is another mentally deranged man and the both of them just happened to have mentally deranged intercourse but there isn't. There is no mentally deranged man in my vicinity. This only means one thing; a very sane person got her pregnant.
How do you even get yourself to do that?.
Mad people who roam the street wear very shabby and exposing clothes and some of them even roam naked. But this isn't any reason to get them pregnant.
If the child eventually makes it amidst the dirt, turmoil, trials and tribulation, then that child is bound to suffer. The mentally deranged lady barely takes care of herself let alone a child. It is really a pathetic image to picture and sadly, nothing can be done about it. This is because no one can trust any information gotten from her.
Putting someone through such misery is just pathetic and I think that people who go around having intercourse with mentally deranged people should probably be classified as mentally deranged too. What do you think?

That's on a lighter note anyway. I usually wonder what's in the mind of the person that does a terrible thing like that. Apart from the filthiness of this abuser, it's the lack of conscience for me.
Also, I think when the woman gives birth, the baby would be taken from her. Probably put in an orphanage or something.
No naw. That's what seems to have happened 😅.
Hopefully, the child is rescued by a god Samaritan. Reminds me of all the books about abandoned children in highschool.
You know, I use to watch this kind of thing in nollywood movies unfortunately, it happens in the real world...this is rubbish

These people are everywhere oo and I have come across a lot of them. When a sane person have sexual intercourse with these kind of people, they have a reason; ritual of course.
Sometimes, these set of creatures are monitored to give birth and secretly takes the baby from them and in most cases, it takes a tug of war to snatch their babies from them because they won't allow you. They are totally a different creature when they are mad and do not get tired easily.

Ritual can be a very serious motive for rape of a mentally ill lady. This is totally sad.
There are sadly quite a few people roaming around that are suffering pretty serious mental issues. The medications they prescribe people don’t help for sure, they often cause a lot of it when someone gets off them. Then there’s the powerful drugs out there.. so many avenues to get people messed up and it might not just be a mental issue.
Seeing one pregnant is also incredibly sad. The chances of the child being successful and growing up are very low - I wish that people wouldn’t be so cruel but that’s the ability of free choice.

It's such a difficult situation when there isn't any help in society for people who are living with a mental illness. I guess we have to be compassionate and remember it's not their choice, and that they are people above all else. I'd avoid continuing to call people 'mentally deranged' - I'm sure you don't mean it that way, but it's that kind of language that stigmatises people and removes their humanity, making it less likely for collective action to help them. It's an old fashioned term that assumes the person IS the illness - we wouldn't say people with 'cancer' are 'diseased', would we? :) Much love.
This is one very sad reality. They automatically stigmatized and sidelined.
