Bending the system

The past couple of days have been nothing short of frustrating. After going through a few days of annoyance courtesy of my country's appalling banking sector, I decided to make a few moves regarding my relocation plans and was met with new roadblocks.

The first trouble I encountered was due to my average undergraduate degree. Unfortunately, a new policy came out a few months ago limiting the number of students admitted yearly into Canadian Universities and one of them included not letting average graduates like myself in.

I know our educational system can be bent at will so we made a few calls to try to upgrade my average result. However, due to how long it has been, it appears that aspect of the system can't be bent without risks.

Our next option would include asking favors from people we would prefer not asking and it would end up being almost thrice as expensive and extremely uncertain. We made a few calls in that regard but all we got were possibilities.

Now, we have come up with a new option which includes getting an extra certificate here and moving our application to Canada up by a few months, just to ensure that we'd be considered. However, our decision to do this is a little late so we're having difficulties getting into a school while the session has already begun.

We're now working towards bending the system once again. Hoping this time around it works because I'm tired of hearing bad news. I need some good news soon.

Bending rules has never been my thing, however, in desperate times like these, there's barely any other choice. We'll be heading to the school tomorrow to work it all out so we can get ahead of things before the semester exams begin.

We're hopeful that we can get this certificate within the next year and further increase our ability to apply for even better opportunities. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that money can be the answer to this current problem. I won't be the first or last person to try to bend the system.
