RE: PART 1 of 6 ~ Market Friday ~ “ROAD TRIP NORTH - 305 km” our transit of moving countries 📦🚛✈️

my mum just left for the UK actually. She's in Oxford. Breathtakingly beautiful. I went up to visit her twice when she lived there some time ago and spent some time in London and Edinburgh. There's still so much I'd love to explore! Hopefully I'll get to go visit her soon!

Oh, that’s cool. You can visit her and explore much more. Great area. There is so much to see here.
I hope you can go soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻 We were in April in Edinburgh. Loved it.
Have a wonderful new week 👋🏻☀️🌺

I've had a few friends go castle hopping all over the country. That must be so incredible. I'm sad I didn't do the tunnel walk under the Edinburg old city, but I chickened out 🤣🤣 definitely next time. Also, I'd love to pop over to Ireland.

Oh that sounds so cool… and there are many. We passed by already a lot. Some we saw… other we didn’t.
That’s indeed a shame. Hope you can go next time.
Yep, Ireland is also on my list to visit one day. It was on the list to move too but the housing crisis was to crazy now and Brexit for hubby makes it hard. Also for me in a way. So we are looking further.
Have a nice evening 👋🏻😊

urgh.... Brexit.... yeah. Here in Cape Town we have a bunch of separatists who want to cut Cape Town off from the rest of the country. It's really just cutting off our noses to spite our faces, in my opinion. We can't just run away because we think we're better than the rest of the country (which is extremely biased). I'd like to know that I can travel freely through my own beautiful country without needing a flipping passport to go to Durban or Johannesburg

Oh I soooo know. Hubby was a cross border worker in Spain… going into Gibraltar (UK) everyday crossing the border for 15 years. Brexit made it into a nightmare.

It’s a shame some think like that.
One should be able to freely travel in their country. Let’s hope it doesn’t happen at yours.
Have a wonderful evening 👋🏻😊

right? when I used to go visit mommy in the UK, you only needed a Schengen visa and then you could travel most of Europe. now? It's a total nightmare. 🙄🙄🙄🙄

Yep, I know… it isn’t easy anymore. Let alone go and live in other countries.

Have a nice evening and a great week further! 👋🏻😊
