Buzzing around! | Moadto Strip, Bohol

We've been to a couple of destinations on my latest trip to Bohol. During our Day 1, we went to Bohol's manmade forest, had a close encounter with the tarsiers, visited one of Bohol's finest cultural treasures and ended Day 1 with a bang at Mirror of the World in Sikatuna, Bohol. Moving around the entire day made us hungry and crave for good food and our top choice was The Mist at Panglao Island.

Today we'll check out something we didn't expect to visit during our Bohol Incentive Trip.

Moadto Strip at Night

I don't know why I'm writing this first instead of the Modala Hotel review. I guess, I want to do something else other than be orderly! Miracle! HAHA 🤣 Right after our dinner in The Mist, we checked in at Modala Hotel. We created a group chat with all the participants in that trip and we agreed to meet at 7-Eleven in Moadto Strip. We had too much fun and given the early call time the following day, we could've fallen asleep the moment we reached our respective rooms but we were as energetic as 5-year-old kids. 😁

Our hotel is adjacent to Moadto Strip. Judging from the name of the shopping center and the hotel we checked in, I guess they've been strategically planned to complement each other and managed by the same company.

The direct English translation of Moadto is "to go to". It was pitch black when we went out here but since there was a path from the hotel that led directly to Moadto Strip, the evening stroll was pleasing even inviting.

We were welcomed by well-lit, spacious aisles and almost identical restaurants, shops, etc. The Moadto Strip signage was too massive, it's impossible to miss it. The door to the strip that stood at least 20 feet had a detailed engraving. Whoever designed this place has great taste!

Before heading to 7-Eleven we checked out some of the restaurants that were still open.

Of course, the highlight of the night wasn't Moadto Strip but the moments shared here with my workmates. We wasted no time and found some of our friends enjoying their drink of choice at 7-Eleven. The rest of us joined and the rest of the night is history!

Sweeter the second time

The following day, after our island hopping adventure in Virgin Island and Balicasag Island, which both easily accessible from our hotel, we went back to Moadto Strip to get what our bodies needed at the warmest time of the day: Ice cream!

In broad daylight, it's evident that the place is new; in fact, there are a few vacant spaces available for lease. If you are a business owner and looking for a space to rent, you can check out this budding business center in Panglao.

Few of the open stores in Moadto Strip; we came for something else that afternoon so we didn't bother to come in here despite my nonstop urge for anything with chocolates! 😁😂

I mentioned ice cream before, but we didn't come for any regular ice cream you can buy in the groceries such as Nestle and Selecta. We came for this famous homegrown brand of Bohol called The Buzz Cafe by Bohol Bee Farm which sells delish food in their main restaurant and their ice cream cart offering to-go ice cream in casava cones.

I was introduced to the best ube ice cream all thanks to my almost lover from Tagbilaran. He made sure I won't forget him by buying me this ice cream during one of my visits to Bohol. 🤣 At least, something good came from our almost-relationship! 😁

For only Php 80 ($1.45), you'll enjoy a creamy scoop of your choice of flavor. They have unique selections, too; they offer this charcoal-flavored ice cream. Obviously, it's colored black; but trust me, it's a must-try!

We didn't go back to our hotel right away; instead, we roamed around the strip for a few more minutes checking every corner of it; we left no stone unturned. What fascinated me was the breathability of the place. For one, the design was topnotch but I'd say it's not everything. Unlike most strips or shopping centers in Metro Cebu, Moadto Strip is almost crowd-free since it's located farther away from Alona Beach which is the center of Panglao Island. If you come to Bohol and want serenity, this place is for you!

Aside from buying ice cream, we went inside a bakery and checked out souvenir shops on the sidewalks. They sold cool stuff but they were more pricey that the ones we checked out during Day 1.

Later that day before we depart for Alona Beach, we went again for another round of ice cream from The Buzz Cafe. There's no such thing as too much ice cream, right? 😂
