EXPERIENCE GOING TO THE MARKET DURING THE FLOOD SEASON

in Market Friday2 years ago

Hi Hiver Market Friday community, this is my first time posting in this community and also my first experience going to the market during the flood.
The An Cuu Market in Hue is located on the banks of the An Cuu River. This is a market with many diverse and rich products. In addition, in this market, there are many delicious food courts with not too expensive prices.

On Friday, Hue was hit by a torrential downpour that flooded areas in a very short time (within just 4 hours). Although it is still raining today, the flood water has receded a bit. My roommate and I also went to the market to buy some things, but the floodwater was too deep, so we had to leave empty-handed.

And the next day, we try to go to An Cuu market to buy some cooked food for today. Our students' menu is quite simple, consisting of vegetables, mushrooms, beans, eggs, and meat. We will split into two meals for both lunch and dinner.

Despite the stormy weather, the stalls were still full of fresh vegetables.

Behind the market is the house of people living here, Because it's in a low-lying area, it's flooded :(

This is in front of An Cuu market, the river has flooded and spread to the surrounding houses. Some areas have been blocked off, all people have been sent down by state relief forces such as soldiers and police to move people to a safe area.

It wasn't long before the sun was shining, the sky darkened again, and the heavy rain continued to come.

We also finished buying the things we needed to buy and were about to return to the dormitory.

This is An Cuu bridge, tonight a storm will continue to drag into central Vietnam, potentially flooding all nearby areas and areas near rivers, sea, and low-lying areas.

On the other side are people who are returning home to check the flood situation.

We returned from the market with many sorrows and confidants. It is heartbreaking because every year, the people of the Central region suffer from big and small storms, they suffer a lot of damage that no one can fully understand. But it's also very warm for the solidarity of the Vietnamese people when the Central region is in trouble. The governments, Soldiers, officers, police, and other compassionate people always help the people wholeheartedly, making silent sacrifices day and night to fight the storm with the people of the Central region. I really express my deep gratitude to them and I am very proud of the Vietnamese people!

Hope everyone is safe through the storm☘️

Did you notice the first parking lot in An Cuu market? It belongs to my uncle.

Oh. Really!

It's kinda sad to see flooding. In my home country too, if the rain is nonstop, expect there will be flood.
I don't like floods, it's terrible and it's an inconvenience.
I hope you're all safe.

Glad you were still able to buy food despite the rain and the flood.
Keep safe always!

Yes, I only like the light rain in early spring, not the heavy rain. Thanks for your nice wishes!😊

Agree on that! I also don't like heavy rain. 😅 And I also don't like going out when it's raining. Watching the rain is fine but being soaked, it's a no no.

Wow I heard about the very heavy rain recently in the central of Vietnam. I hope everything will get better soon.

Thank you. I think so too. Hope everything will be fine
