RE: The Six Biggest Scientific Hoaxes of All Time

in StemSocial10 days ago

These are outright fraud in the name of getting recognition or attention. Why will someone join skulls together just to be able to discover a link between man and ape? Well, the 1912 was a long time when modern science was still in its infancy so it is normal. The alien one still stay in the mind of a lot of people and some still believes there is a cover up and that aliens actually exists.

Yes, scientific frauds like the Piltdown Man seem absurd today, but at the time, even respected scientists were fooled because they wanted to fill gaps in knowledge. As for aliens, I agree that case still fascinates people. Do you think it would be harder to pull off a similar hoax today, or would the internet make it even easier for such things to spread?
