Ma participation au défi Spread the Vibes / My participation in the Spread the Vibes Challenge [FR/ENG]

Les dimanche sont plus généralement des journées particulièrement longues et ennuyeuses. Alors que je m'apprêtais à passer une après-midi à ne rien faire, je fis la découverte du challenge Spread the Vibes par l'intermédiaire de @ancolie qui m'a nominée pour l'occasion. D'ailleurs, je ne peux que la remercier à ce sujet puisque ça me permet de réaliser un peu de contenu.

J'ai donc remonté un peu cette chaine de partage qui m'a donné l'opportunité de faire la connaissance de plusieurs membres ayant une affinité prononcé pour l'art musical. Chose que j'apprécie tout autant puisqu'il s'agit de l'un de mes domaines de prédilections.

Tout d'abord, je me dois de donner une appréciation concernant le morceau que @ancolie nous a partagé. La bonne franquette est un morceau "feel good" qui m'a rappelé pendant quelque instants mon court passage au Québec, il y a de ça deux ou trois ans. Une chanson populaire à vivre et à chanter avec une bande de potes, lors d'une soirée afin de raffermir les liens, bouteille à la main !

Voici mon choix pour ce challenge : Shame / Born In Luton

Tout comme divers membres qui ont participé à ce challenge, je dois préciser que je suis pas musicien et mes gouts se forment plus autour de mon ressenti. Cependant, la musique a toujours fait parti intégrante de ma vie et rythme encore mon quotidien. Je reste continuellement éveillé et alerte en ce qui concerne la parution de nouveautés correspondant à ma conception de la musique. En ce moment, un groupe a tout particulièrement attiré mon attention et je ne cesse d'écouter en boucle leur dernière création. Il s'agit de Shame, groupe de post-punk british. D'ailleurs voici un titre en provenance de cet album (Drunk Tank Pink), intitulé Born In Luton.

Effectivement, on passe ici sur quelque chose de plus introspectif et d'un peu moins joyeux. Mais toujours est il que le mélange des genres proposé par cette formation à de quoi rester admiratif. Evidemment, les petits gars de Shame n'ont rien inventé, car tout a été plus ou moins expérimenté dans ce genre. Toutefois, les influences qui en émanent et qui sont vraisemblablement
en provenance d'un Gang Of Four sous leurs meilleurs jours et d'un Wire des débuts pour la partie "envolée", témoigne d'une volonté de proposer quelque chose de sensiblement différent en y ajoutant une petite touche de pop qu'un Blur ne pourrait renier. Déjà entendu certes, mais on touche toutefois de près l'excellence dans la structure des compositions. Vous l'aurez compris, cet album m'a fait forte impression, à tel point que je me suis rué sans plus attendre chez mon disquaire afin de commander le LP.

Mon rapport à la musique

Chaque instant de ma vie à droit à sa propre bande-son. Depuis mon plus jeune âge, en découvrant le hard-rock, le métal, le punk-rock en passant par la techno underground, je n'ai cessé d'élargir mon champ d'écoute et de découverte. Le mouvement Punk et Free-party m'ayant profondément marqué, je garde une préférence centré autour de la musique indépendante. Je dois tout de même avouer que mes choix fluctues au gré du temps, tout en se diversifiant vers des styles découlant de ce courant. Bien que je m'en éloigne parfois, je reste toujours fidèle à ce courant qui a forgé ce que je suis.

Sundays are generally particularly long and boring days. As I was about to spend an afternoon doing nothing, I discovered the Spread the Vibes challenge through @ancolie who nominated me for the occasion. By the way, I can only thank her on this subject as it allows me to realise a little bit of content.

So I went up this chain of sharing which gave me the opportunity to get to know several members with a pronounced affinity for the art of music. Something I appreciate just as much since this is one of my favourite areas.

First of all, I must give an appreciation of the piece that @ancolie shared with us. La bonne franquette is a "feel good" piece that reminded me for a few moments of my short time in Quebec, two or three years ago. A popular song to live and sing with a bunch of friends, during an evening to strengthen the bonds, bottle in hand !

Here is my choice for this challenge: Shame / Born In Luton

Just like various members who participated in this challenge, I must specify that I am not a musician and my tastes are formed more around my feelings. However, music has always been an integral part of my life and still gives rhythm to my daily life. I am constantly awake and alert to new releases that correspond to my conception of music. At the moment, a group has particularly caught my attention and I keep listening to their latest creation over and over again. They are Shame, a British post-punk band. By the way, here is a track from this album (Drunk Tank Pink), called Born In Luton.

Indeed, we are moving on to something more introspective and a little less joyful here. But still, the mix of genres proposed by this formation is something to be admired. Obviously, the little guys of Shame didn't invent anything, because everything has been more or less experimented in this genre. However, the influences which emanate from it and which are probably
coming from a Gang Of Four in their best days and a Wire from the beginning for the "flight" part, shows a will to offer something significantly different by adding a little touch of pop that a Blur could not deny. Already heard, of course, but the excellence in the structure of the compositions is nevertheless very close to being achieved. You will have understood it, this album made such a strong impression on me that I rushed to my record store without further delay to order the LP.

My relationship to music

Every moment of my life has the right to its own soundtrack. Since my youngest age, discovering hard-rock, metal, punk-rock and underground techno, I have never stopped widening my field of listening and discovery. The Punk and Free-party movement having deeply marked me, I keep a preference centred around independent music. However, I must admit that my choices fluctuate with the passage of time, while diversifying towards styles derived from this current. Although I sometimes deviate from it, I always remain loyal to this current that has forged who I am.
