Coco and Loco Loving Their Walks

Walk on the Wild Side

These two absolutely lose their shit as soon as I mention the word walk. Then when I take the leads out they go batshit crazy!

We all make a bee line for the gate and off we go. We are living in the countryside, so there's plenty of nice walks right on our doorstep which is great.

Sometimes we go as far as this ancient graveyard and ancient church. The Church and An tSean Relig, dates back to the
14th century, which is pretty cool.

Down to the Lake

No walk with our springer spaniel Coco and Pug/Jack Russell cross Loco would be complete without a trip to the lake. They love getting in for a nice swim, well Coco moreso than Loco, but today they both got in, which was great.

It was a lovely day for a walk today, so I was snap happy as usual. The canal below connects to Lough Corrib, so if I'm ever so inclined, I could kayak from this canal all the way into Galway City, which is pretty cool and is something I plan to do some day.

The mystique of Ireland and the splendour of the landscape seem inseparable. It is precisely this feeling that you should give more space to unfold in the text. James Joyce, Roddy Doyle or Oscar Wilde would probably have conjured up a complete novel out of it (just from the impressions of the final three pictures). — Of course, with the inclusion of Coco and Loco.😊

Good shouts, all serious wordsmiths

I practically kick my lot into the river on the way home. It saves me washing the buggers after they've rolled around in every pile of cow shit they can find. And believe me, there's plenty of it.

Ha ha, it's a good chance for them to have a wash for sure!

Woofs! Here's vote for dogs!

Cheers auld stock 👌🏻

What beautiful pictures! You know that a good while ago, years ago, I had a little golden that accompanied me for many years. He was a sweetheart and certainly when I went for walks with him he would go crazy, very rarely would I let him off leash on the street, but when we got to a square or something, yes I would let him off leash and let him go. He was a sweetheart. Your furry companions are also, I was very amused by the photo of the lake, he even took a dip!

Beautiful pictures! How long is the canal to the city? It looks like a beautiful kayak spot.

Dogs are great, they all love the word "walk"! You live in a beautiful place. The old cemetery looks peaceful. I guess the church has seen better days, but for 600 plus years old it's amazing it's there at all. It looks like it's being well cared for now anyway!

Thanks for sharing, what an amazing place!

Thanks man. The Canal connects Ballyquirke Lake to Lough Corrib, so theoretically I can go into Galway which would be maybe 10 or 12 km or out towards Connemara which would be 100km or there abouts

As cute as always 🥺

Thanks 🐶
