🐈🐱😻A Tale of Three Tails Part 4 - The Takeover🐈🐱😻

in Hive Petslast year (edited)

So. It has become crystal clear that our furbabies have taken full control over the household and pretty much everything revolves around them 🤣 I am still determined - to @zakludick's horror- to get two more cats - so that we can form Voltron

and since @loadreaper has been blessed with 3 brand new little bundles, I'm afraid someone is going to need to restrain me, before we end up with a cat farm 🤣

Weekend Experiences - 3new family members (Saturday 28-01-2023

Despite early teething and hissing problems, all three kitties, Chai, Lexi and Squeek, have become most happy and secure in their home and they all get plently of love and affection (whether they like it or not).

Chai had his own little disappearing act two days ago, which sent me into a total flat panic. I told the animal social media groups in my area that I was trying to not be a drama llama, but after what we went through with Lexi, A Tale of Three Tails Part 2: Lexi Goes Missing I just couldn't bare to go through that all over again. I cannot explain, however much I may joke and poke fun at them, what each individual kitty cat means to me.

They each have their own unique place in my heart. I have had many cats in my life, and no two are the same. You can't replace them.

Chai is always right up in our faces looking for snacks or he's sleeping in the shoe cupboard, so his lack of presence was picked up very fast. He didn't show up for breakfast, and by the time we were half way through supper that night, I was besides myself with worry.

It was at that point that the little sh1t jumped through the window and bolted for the food bowls, munching so fast, I think he must have been inhaling the food. Poor boy was probably in someone's garage the whole day.

I was massively relieved that he came home safely and so fast. Phew

In other news, it looks like an unlikely romance is forming between Lexi and Chai (Lexi was swatting him to start, but now theyre bumping noses). they now sleep facing each other and play together in the garden. If they still had their "bits," I'm pretty sure we'd have ended up with some gorgeous but super weird looking kittens - Chai being a weird trash can ginger and Lexi being part Siamese, tabby and wild cat..... but I suppose we'll never know now INSERTLOUDSIGH

Lexi has also become quite an attention queen. On the weekend, she climbed up our rickety pergola and jumped into our bedroom window mewmewing like crazy until we called her to come cuddle on the bed. We got distracted in conversation and she repositioned herself in such a way that she almost fell off the bed, gaining her some more rubs. We then got up to gwet dressed and ready for the day, but Lexi would not have it and proceeded to go back to the window, jump out and then back in again and restarted the mewmewing from scratch 🤣 dramatic re-entry

Little Squeek is definitely the old lady of the bunch (she's only 6 though) and she only comes out to love on her own terms. Sometimes she totally surprises us though, demanding back scratches (Especially from @zakludick who she has totally chosen as her person). @MerenLudick had a friend over for a sleep over, and here you can see her, totally passed out on his lap! I don't even think he knew she was there!

All in all, we have a happy home, full of fur, love and purrs and I couldn't be happier.......

I envy you, kitties definitely are characters all on their own! But I promised myself that until I can secure our yard, I will not be adding a feline to the family.

They are a commitment. Look, I do know plenty of very happy indoor cats: ask @jasperdick, but you need to train them from kittenhood. Once they've had a taste for the outside and a pigeon or two, there's no going back.

3 Cats and 3 kids is enough thanks babe!

Good heavens yes. Vet fees are crazy 🤣 !Luv I've done enough defleaing in the last year to last a life time! Nevermind the kids 🙈
