Primer baño de Tyson

in Hive Pets2 days ago

English version

Yesterday we bathed Tyson for the first time.

That was an odyssey, I won't deny it. Thank goodness @abelarte and I are a team, because if I had to do it alone, it would have been too much work.
Tyson is great and didn't struggle, but he didn't really like the bath either; which surprised me, because he loves puddles and buckets of water.
At first, I was afraid it would be worse. I remind you that Tyson has been with us for less than a week and he is a Siberian Husky Malamute. I mean, he is huge, despite his first birthday tomorrow.
Since it was cold, I heated up a good jug of water and prepared two buckets of warm water, delicious enough. Like for bathing myself. I put him in the bathtub, to keep an eye on him in case he wanted to run away.
(If it had been hot, the water hose in the doorway would have been enough 😁)
But he behaved very well, however, we hadn't even started yet. When I poured the first jug of water on him and saw that it barely got into his hair, I had to heat up more water, because two buckets weren't going to be enough to give him a good bath. And so it was, three buckets later.

To say that Tyson is a #pet is to lie. He is another member of the family and that's why he deserves the best. Once he was really wet, we opened a bottle of shampoo and applied it all over his body until it made a really good lather.
The challenge was the back legs and face. Tyson didn't fight, but moving his almost sixty pounds of weight is a challenge and he needed a good brushing on his white parts.
After hard work in the bus, we had a very smelly dog. Smelly, but wet.
The yard is dirt, so I couldn't let him out like that. I looked for the dryer and used a comb and a hot dryer until he was almost dry. But he wanted to play and I really enjoy playing, so I let him dry in the sun and run free.
Now he smells good. While I was bathing him I checked to make sure he didn't have fleas or ticks. I carefully cleaned his ears and any debris tangled in his hair.
He is a good and clean dog.
I thank God for having him.
A huge hug to everyone and read us soon.
