Chronicle of a sunny afternoon ☀️ 😸 Crónica de una tarde soleada

After noon, if the afternoon is sunny, I ask them to open the balcony door for me to go and take some vitamin D.

Después del mediodía, si la tarde está soleada, pido que me abran la puerta del balcón para ir a tomar un poco de vitamina D.

I know it's not the most recommended time for sunbathing, so say the humans, but I'm a cat and I like to sit there for a few minutes.

Sé que no es la hora más recomendable para tomar el sol, eso dicen los humanos, pero yo soy una gata y me agrada sentarme ahí unos minutos.

I don't stay for long either, because as you see, most of my fur is white, so my skin is delicate. But I know where to place myself, half my body in the shade and the other in the sun.

Tampoco me quedo mucho tiempo, porque como ven, la mayor parte de mi pelaje es blanco, así que mi piel es delicada. Pero yo sé dónde colocarme, la mitad de mi cuerpo a la sombra y la otra al sol.

That's how I'm doing my little flips lying down, something that by the way humans love to see, they think I'm a sweetheart when I'm belly up 😺.

Así voy dando mis vuelticas acostada, algo que por cierto a los humanos les encanta ver, les parezco una dulzura cuando estoy panza arriba 😺.

And it's not that I'm not, but they know I'm rather bittersweet, I love to bite, I can't help it, that's why sometimes they tell me I'm bipolar, just like my fur: black and white, yin and yan.

Y no es que no lo sea, pero ellos saben que soy más bien agridulce, me encanta morder, no lo puedo evitar, por eso a veces me dicen que soy bipolar, tal cual como mi pelaje: blanca y negra, yin y yan.

After sunbathing on the balcony, where I sometimes let them brush my fur, I go back to the room where I sleep most of the time. I climb into bed and as they leave the curtain a bit open, when I want to, I stand where some rays fall.

Después de tomar el sol en el balcón, donde a veces me dejo peinar, vuelvo a la habitación donde duermo la mayor parte del tiempo. Me subo a la cama y como dejan la cortina un poco abierta, cuando quiero, me pongo donde caen algunos rayos.

I almost always like to have my picture taken, I think I look cute, that's what they say all the time, but of course, if they annoy me too much when I want to sleep I start to complain, and it's normal, remember that we cats love naps.

Casi siempre me gusta que me tomen fotos, creo que salgo linda, eso dicen todo el tiempo, pero eso sí, si me fastidian demasiado cuando quiero dormir empiezo a quejarme, y es normal, recuerden que los gatos amamos las siestas.

And since we also love to play, they distracted me with an object to hide behind the pillow lining so they could take this picture.

Y como también amamos jugar, me distrajeron con un objeto para que me escondiera detrás del forro de la almohada y poder hacerme esta foto.

Then I got on the pillow with my sleepy face and put my head right where a little ray of sunlight was coming in, and there I slept for a while.

Luego me monté en la almohada con mi cara soñolienta y puse mi cabeza justo donde entraba un rayito de sol, y allí dormí un rato.

When I felt like stretching my body I came down from there, and at that moment they took the opportunity to take this picture, out of the sun, where you can see my paws with pink and black pads, they say that I have some very appetizing beans there 😹.

Cuando me dieron ganas de estirar el cuerpo bajé de allí, y en ese momento aprovecharon para hacerme esta foto, al margen del sol, donde pueden ver mis patitas con almohadillas rosas y negras, ellos dicen que ahí tengo unas caraotas muy apetecibles 😹.
