If someone shares Hive links through Reddit link-type posts,

consider entering the HivePosh contest by posting stats of your best 5 shares in the comments section below.
"Stats" means this type of screenshot:

Users who generated the most views win prizes:
300 HP delegation + 70 $HIVE for π₯
200 HP delegation + 50 $HIVE for π₯
100 HP delegation + 40 $HIVE for π₯
50 HP delegation + 25 $HIVE for 4οΈβ£
50 HP delegation + 25 $HIVE for 5οΈβ£
20 $HIVE for 6οΈβ£
20 $HIVE for 7οΈβ£
The delegations will last as long as the contest goes on and as long as you keep sharing links on Reddit; they can stack, and previous winners can increase their delegations. Read the rules below and ask me anything in the comments section!
- Post up to 5 of your best shares: 1) a screenshot of the stats and 2) the Reddit link to each share.
- A share, deleted π by the subreddit, is not eligible to participate in the contest. Deletion is checked at the time the contest host is counting the results.
- Shares must not be older than 11 days.
- Do not add shares that participated in previous contests.
- Strictly follow the deadline β see the date and time at the bottom of the post.
- Only Reddit's link post type is eligible to participate in the contest:

- Posts must have the RedditPosh comment (or its substitute when the RedditPosh script failed) upvoted by @acidyo or @OCD to be eligible for the HivePosh contest
- Posts with declined or burned rewards are not eligible for the HivePosh contest
- Posts shorter than 200 words (by PeakD count, not counting references) are not eligible for the HivePosh contest
- In all disputed situations, the contest host makes the final decision at their own discretion.
Community First
The level of the community's dissatisfaction and complaints regarding the activities on @kur8 and @arraymedia reached a point where action was necessary. As a result, @kur8 and @arraymedia have been banned from the HivePosh contest and Redditposh reward system.
HivePosh isn't a pirate schooner to shoot back at the dissatisfied community β we are part of it and are meant to serve it. I announced this course three weeks ago, so nothing new has happened:
@acidyo asked me to clearly define the boundary that excludes AI-generated content and low-quality content from the Redditposh rewarding system and HivePosh contest. Doing so: AI-generated or plagiarized posts are not eligible for the RedditPosh rewards. We do not have the resources to investigate every post, and HiveWatchers are currently suspended, so our judgment will rely on community input. The opinion of the community takes precedence over the opinion of the author of the post and the sharer. We are a part of the community, and a good reputation for HivePosh is our priority.
To people affected by this decision: please don't prolong this headache; let's focus on creation.

Thank you for your understanding, everyone π
Looking forward to seeing your shares for HivePosh contest #58 in the comments section below strictly no later than 13:00 UTC on December 4, 2025.
In order to generate maximum views, don't hesitate to post your best shares on the last day (until 13:00 UTC). The only requirement is that every share must be no older than 11 days (as stated in the rules). If you aren't sure exactly when "13:00 UTC" is in your city/country, ask AI (Google Gemini, for example).

I feel really weird about this - it feels like a stolen first place.
Are you really really confident that the AI-detection tool you are using is accurate?
See the image in the following tweet showing that AI tools think the Declaration of Independence was written by AI:
Of course Thomas Jefferson lifted whole paragraphs from an essay written by the English philosopher John Locke. But he did add value by tweaking it and turning it into a political weapon. And then people have endlessly quoted the Declaration in the last 240 years.
This is how writing has worked in the last 2,000 years. Everytime you use a phrase from Shakespeare ("vanish into thin air") or from the King James bible ("in a twinkling of an eye"), are you copying, would an AI tool think you are copying?
I think a lot of people on hive have a poor understanding of the writing process, and are combining this with extreme authoritarianism. Poor Mariah.
I am gobsmacked and really didnβt know what to say, but I thought I should say something. It is important for all creators to feel valued and fairly treated, and transparency matters.
Ok, I respect the idea of βcommunity first,β but I believe the creators are the community. Those who put a lot of work in and have contributed consistently for a while should be supported, not discouraged or silenced because of jealousy or a few downvotes. The quality of my work was never actually addressed, it gets a lot of views and Reddit sub rewards.
I put a lot of effort, time, passion, and skill into my entries as I want Hiveposh to do well and support this competition. One article can consume most of my night or day, especially with strict subs like r/psychology and r/space. These types of subs require articles made specifically for them, as they are very strict and run by astronomers and PhDs. Having my articles accepted there was a bonus for Hive, but the decision to ban Kur8 is disheartening. I used it to create these articles to meet the strict posting requirements of those subs. Without it, I cannot make the kind of articles they demand or find any article here on Hive regularly that fits the subs and gets good views for Hive. Banning it without warning feels unreasonable.
And I think the communication in this area is very poor. At least include the regular contributors in the decision, not just impose things suddenly and one-sided. Most of the time, no one answers any queries.
I was hurt, so I unfriended @x-rain and @acidyo, and Acid and OCD unfriended me back and downvoted my recent post and took my reward. Understandable, as we were all passionate about this initiative and wanted it to do well. It was an act from pain and frustration. But looking back at the situation, these two guys, Acid and x-rain, are constantly under pressure from the toxic part of the community. Still, the decision is unfair.
I would like to thank everyone here. I may not be able to participate and will need to bring my journalism out there, knowing that I could attract views. I am halfway through my journalism course, and this will also give me plenty of time to attend to my little businesses. If anything changes in the future, you may see me again.
Good luck, guys.
I downvoted it cause of your double post, kind of cheap to try and mention that here for your narrative without the full truth. I guess there's always been part of you being a bit sketchy like that.
I didnβt intentionally βdouble post,β and implying that Iβm being sketchy is unfair. The situation was already upsetting, and I mentioned the downvote because it was part of what happened, not to create a narrative.
Iβve always put in genuine effort, followed the rules as best as I could, and supported this initiative from the start. If there was an issue with how something was posted, it would have helped to communicate that directly instead of assuming bad intent.
Iβm not here to fight with anyone, just to explain my side honestly and respectfully.
No but you did, and when that happens, it is common to downvote one of the posts if there's active rewards, not because you have a vendetta against the user. I noticed the double post and did what anyone would've/should've done.
Maybe you'll learn something from the way you react to things.
I have never had a problem with accidental double-posting before. The way you framed it as βsketchyβ wasnβt really necessary, as I donβt have bad intent. And implying I need to learn something just adds to the hostility. The situation is upsetting, so i reacted emotionally not because I am creating a drama. Anyway, good luck with your projects.
You said I downvoted you as an act of retaliation against an unfollow, I had to make it clear.
By sketchy I may mean dramatic, there's been many instances of you overeacting in the past when it concerns your own activity.
I only react to how others treat me Acid, and I think thatβs fair, just like you do. I am passionate and I care deeply about what I do. Lets end this now, I have not had a sleep yet.
Let us act as friends here - Mary @theworldaroundme did a lot good stuff as you and @x-rain do. Downvote of the post that was double is normal but let us not do Kindergarten things and downvote comments as they might sound emotional from one side (but of course everyone can do this as they see fit). Thanks guys - MHGA π
Do not leave the initiaitve as we need you - and the downvote is for sure based on the fact you did post the same twice - downvotes for such double posts are common since ages and do not mean something bad by the downvoter.
Have a lovely Sunday and stay here!
Hmm - to be no. 2 with two small shares feel strange and not deserved.
I get the reasons for the decisions (also based on what community says/thinks) - I mentioned a potential danger around this - that people might flag certain content or certain ranking - already some months ago in regards to trending posts (most viewed posts that been owned by same accounts for a while - it was clear that it will be seen).
I might have different views on the value of these posts regarding AI generated or re-used links/content for pieces that are out there already - I still think these posts add value when bringing traffic over from Reddit especially when they include a personal touch / view / opinion / summary - of course we still do not know how much of that traffic translates into new users here (retention a total different topic - but a general Hive issue soem people work on already)
that's the result when sharing other posts lol... but i hope who complained for these articles then won't be crying for the need of get more users on hive
True, also see that reply often in general no matter who writes them, also depends on subreddit of course and which mod sees it first - or the so-called hero top commenters in certain subs.
never had problems in that sub before so it's pretty obvious the reason π
IBM sub? Never tried that one too
Nah IBM is a advertise, it was a science sub
#hive #posh
Thanks you @x-rain for the support!! ππ€π
Had a decent share in a friendly sub but got deleted after 50k+ views, no reason given, no comment at all - sad given I have hardly time here. But that is the way it is right :-) @x-rain @acidyo - so we need our Mary @theworldaroundme
