Holi is a festival of colours. Holi is celebrated with great pomp all over India on the full moon day of Phalgun month. Which is celebrated by people of every religion and caste with great enthusiasm and fun. This love-filled festival removes the barriers of caste and religion and conveys the message of brotherhood. Holi is the festival of burning the vices that arise in the mind. On this day, we accept the good qualities by throwing the bad thoughts in our minds into the fire of Holi. It is a festival.

The festival of immersing the ego settled in our minds in the fire of Holi. Holi festival is the day to enjoy life by playing with colors on the second day of Holi. Although Holi is celebrated all over India, in some states it is celebrated with great pomp. Like the birth place of Krishna, it is Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, etc. Holi is celebrated with great pomp here in Mumbai, too. Mumbai is such an industrial city, where people from all over India come and settle here for job and business. People of all religions of India live here, but on the day of Holi, everyone forgets their religion, caste, state and everything else and celebrates the festival of Holi with love.

On the day of Holi, everyone forgets their old fights, anger, etc. and applies gulal to each other. Young children play Holi with colors. Holi is lit at night the next day after celebrating Holi. And on the next day, people play Holi with colors and Gulal in the morning. In our place, "Don't feel bad, brother, it's Holi" has been heard on every road since morning. And people apply colors while laughing; colors can be applied whether they are recognized or not, and people apply colors to others with great love. There are many folklores behind celebrating Holi. The Holi festival has a mythological story. Hiranyakashipu considered himself a god and was an opponent of Lord Vishnu. Pralhad was the son of the demon king Hiranyakashyap. And that son was a devotee of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashyap did not like this at all, the son of a demon king and a devotee of the gods, how could this happen? That's why he despised his son so much. Hiranyakashyap tried a lot to convince his son, but Pralhad did not give up his devotion to Lord Vishnu, he always remained absorbed in the devotion of Lord Vishnu. Hiranyakashyap tried many times to kill his son, he was pushed from a big mountain, but he escaped alive. Frustrated, Hiranyakashyap asked his sister Holika, who had the boon of not getting burned in fire, to kill him. Meaning, fire could not burn Holika. Holika immediately agreed to help her brother. Pralhad was made to sit on Holika's lap, and a stick was placed in his arms and set on fire.

But due to Pralhad's true devotion, nothing happened to him. And Holika, despite the boon of not getting burned in the fire, got burned to ashes. Meaning, God always stands behind those who worship God with a true heart and protects the devotees. Meaning, the victory of good over evil is necessary. That is why Holi is celebrated. After the burning of Holi, Holi is played with Gulal and various colors from morning onwards. There is some positive aspect behind every festival in India. This festival is a festival of colours. I have shared some moments of today's Holi, maybe you people like them. Thank you.
