I decided to be an investment partner in the electric company Auren Energia (AURE3) and acquired a position that I intend to increase until I reach the objective of 15% of my portfolio.

It is a company that paid excellent dividends of 22.19% in 2023 despite having substantially reduced its leverage.

Its results have been positively surprising, exceeding expectations.

Analyzing the annual chart, the company showed two significant drops and is currently trading below the 50- and 200-day moving averages.

Auren was born from the combination of the energy assets of Votorantim S.A. and the Canadian pension fund CPPIB. The combination was made so that Cesp's controlling company, VTRM Energia Participações S.A., could incorporate the company's shares. In this way, Cesp becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of VTRM.

Future prospects are promising with several business opportunities realized to increase the number of customers, such as the joint venture with the telecommunications company Vivo. CADE (Administrative Council for Economic Defense) approved, without restrictions, the union between Auren Energia and Vivo. The information appears in the DOU (Official Gazette of the Union) this Monday (8). The companies will create a joint venture focused on selling electricity throughout Brazil, with an eye on opening the free market for Group A retail consumers.

Taking advantage of synergies is also a reality, as in the case of Citrossuco

Citrosuco, one of the largest producers and exporters of orange juice in the world, is investing to reduce its environmental impact. The company has just spent R$44 million for a share in Auren Energia's largest solar energy project (AURE3), called Sol de Jaíba. The relationship between the two companies is not new. Citrosuco owns 22.64% of Auren's wind project called Ventos de São Adeodato and 15% of Ventos de Santa Albertina. Through the new business, Citrosuco will transfer wind generation capacity to solar generation, with some increase.

Citrosuco and Auren have a company in common in their controlling group, the Votorantim Group.

Sounds like you have done your research and it does look like a sound investment. Green energy is the future and getting in early like this is a good move.

Auren is listed on the Brazilian exchange correct? You really can't beat twenty two percent dividends. That is a very nice return on investment. I may take a closer look at them. Have they been paying at the same dividend percentage for years now?

Interesting that they have a combined project. I'll have to look at those. I've never invested in Brazilian companies before, partly because I speak Spanish and no Portuguese whatsoever! I love companies that pay nice dividends, nothing better, except Bitcoin and Hive both shooting the moon of course!
