dCity daily - Getting an education

Yesterdays (see Preparing for nature disaster) plan to increase our police presence and reduce crime appears to have worked for now - chance of crime down from 18% to 6% and we survived the effects of the nature disaster to stay in the top 400 for income and received our rewards and claimed our young citizen.

The next crisis on the horizon appears to be an economic crisis (reduce income by 50%) and this will definitely knock me out of the top 400 if we are not careful, but its time to start planning for the future too.

dCity appears to have some powerful effects from combining buildings for example

Farm Corporation

Ingredients: 1x Construction Site, 20x Farm, 1x Office, 1x Parking, 1x Public Restrooms, 3x GMO Farming, 1x Basic Automation

Attributes change (used buildings to combined building):
Income: 137 to 260
Population: 100 to 0
Popularity: 109 to 0
Workers: 244 to 200

so combing lots of farms to form a corporation whilst reducing population and popularity increases income considerably from the parts used to combine into it.

But this also appears to need a few technology cards too, dCity does give you a chance to get these free after you have unlocked them in the technology tree (Unlocking a technology doesn't give you the actual technology card and bonus. Instead, it makes you eligible to discover that technology.)

The chance to find a technology card is governed by education (80 education = 1% chance with a max cap of 25%.) so currently I have 199 education giving me a 2% chance per day of discovering a technology - todays aim is to give us at least 1% more and hopefully 2%.

Education is provided by University and Laboratory cards and a few citizens but the first thing to do is open up the technology branch that provides education bonuses, luckily i have unlocked most of the branch already and can now unlock free education - which gives 2x education for all university

If i can pick up a couple of university cards and some citizens that provide education i should be able to push up to 4% discovery rate.

doubled my chance of finding technology cards and increased my city size slightly, tomorrow will need some work on income if we are going to survive the upcoming economic crisis!
