Greetings!

My son's school year is nearing its end, currently, his modules are part of the fourth grading. All-in-all I am quite satisfied with the curriculum that the school is teaching to Kindergarten and we are very excited about the coming Kindergarten graduation next school year he will be entering his first grade in elementary.

As of the moment we have no problem urging him to study at home and he is very much engaged in answering his modules. We are hoping that he continues to show the same attitude when he finally enters first grade. With that being said, here are some of the lessons that my son answered on his modules...

Learning Politeness/Polite Words

Without a doubt, I and my wife, and other people are very very glad because our son has grown very very polite. Thanks to the environment that he is experiencing growing up. Am also glad that I learned way back when I was still single how can I instill a polite attitude in my son (talking about lifting my own chair, haha).

His first lesson in this module is about politeness and polite words (Filipino polite words) like "Pakibigay, Pakiabot, and Paumanhin". After learning the polite words he also needs to trace-write the polite words.

Learning Greetings

Like any other nation, we also have our own localized greetings depending on the situation. The greetings that my son studied in this lesson are one of the foundations of how Filipinos are viewed all over the world as one of the most welcoming persons in the world.

Some of the words that my son learned on this lesson are "Magandang Hapon, Magandang Araw, Magandang Umaga, Magandang Gabi". Magandang hapon is the equivalent of good afternoon, magandang araw is the equivalent of good day, magandang umaga is the equivalent of good morning, and magandang gabi is the equivalent of good evening.

Learning Polite Expressions

The next lesson that my son learned is about polite expression, I and my wife are very glad that my son learned some of the basic polite expressions from us before he even learned them from his school.

We already thought our son about polite expressions such as "Thank You" and "Welcome".

In this lesson, he learned the localized version of Thank You and Welcome which are Salamat and Walang Anuman respectively.

Thankful Actions (through drawings)

In this lesson, my son learned about thankful and not thankful actions through drawings. We are very glad that these kinds of actions are being thought at the kindergarten which I think is fit for the child's age to understand. In this lesson, my son was tasked to shade/color the thankful actions given in his module.

Learning Professions

In this next lesson, my son learned about the most common localized profession such as "Pari, Doktor, Bumbero, Pulis, and Guro". Part is the equivalent of Priest, Doktor is the equivalent of Doctor, Bumper is the equivalent of Fireman, Pulis is the equivalent of Police, and Guro is the equivalent of Teacher. After learning my son is tasked to trace-write the given professions.

This is absolutely fantastic! Teaching kids manners is an important part of child raising. We need to ensure our kids are equipped with a broad range of skills, including manners.

Indeed, I am just glad how my son is growing.
