RE: Our Homeschooling Journey: Quiet Time

in Home Edders2 years ago

+1 sa Quiet time!

One of the things I learned in our homeschooling journey is that we need to take care of our own well-being as our children's main facilitator in their education. Kasi pag tayo ang nagkasakit, tigil ang homeschool. Hehe.

Most especially, we should lighten up kasi our goal is for our kids to love the learning process and not detest it. That's why there are times when I let the kids take the wheel and let them lead in our activities. Example, pag sinabi nila na "crafts time" , I know they don't want to "study". So I give them crafts time but the activity is still in line with our lessons.

Tama! Minsan may mga times na wala sila gana mag study. Though ung method na gamit namin ngayon, more focused on discussion (si kiddo ang magkwekwento nang magkwekwento.) So very very light lang talaga ang load para sa kids physically in a sense na walang quizzes, essays or what have you. Mostly daldalan session lang na focused sa lesson.

Mahirap maging cheerful kung stressed out at burnt out ka na. Haha. Kaya pahinga pahinga rin pag may time. Haha

True. Tapos after ng Quiet time, sila na mag aask, "can we study now?" eh di gora. At least sila na nag initiate. Hahaha
