Hello my Hivers friends and from the Homeedders community, I am happy to greet you and share the educational advances in my girls. They have been days full of many activities between theirs and mine as an adult with their occupations, but I am always there to ensure that they learn more and more. From the warmth of home I am always teaching something new and reinforcing what I have learned; The handwriting is constant to work on my eldest daughter's motor skills and she writes much faster, smoothly and legibly. Meanwhile, in both schools, the school projects have been latent and the teachers have been very active in terms of the assignments that correspond to them.
Hola mis Hivers amigos y de la comunidad de Homeedders me alegra saludarles y compartir los avances educativos en mis niñas. Han sido días cargados de muchas actividades entre las de ellas y las mías como adulta que soy con sus ocupaciones, pero siempre estoy allí al pendiente en que aprendan cada vez más. Desde el calor del hogar siempre estoy enseñando algo nuevo y reforzando lo aprendido; las caligrafías son constantes para trabajar la motricidad de mi hija mayor y escriba mucho más rápido, de manera corrida y legible. Mientras tanto en las escuelas de ambas los proyectos escolares han estado allí latentes y las maestras muy activas en cuanto a las asignaciones que corresponden a estos.
One of the things that my oldest daughter was assigned at school was to work in a group as part of the school project, her work team focused on the design and creation of a creative and innovative board game; which led each of their moms to get together and each one contribute materials to make it possible, how to put our hands to work to help them in the workshop that one Thursday last week we had to show in class to the rest of our classmates. Well, we met twice, two days before the presentation, together with our little ones to each of us, like our children, contribute ideas and the next day again have materials on hand and work on this.
Una de las cosas que a mi hija mayor asignaron en la escuela era trabajar de manera grupal como parte del proyecto escolar, su equipo de trabajo enfocado en el diseño y creación de un juego de mesa creativo e innovador; lo que nos llevo a cada mami de ellos a reunirnos y cada una aportar materiales para hacerlo posible, como colocar manos a la obra para ayudarles en el taller que un día jueves de semanas pasada debíamos mostrar en clase al resto de compañeros del aula. Pues, nos reunimos dos veces, dos días antes de la presentación, junto a nuestros pequeños para aportar cada una de nosotras como nuestros hijos ideas y al siguiente día nuevamente tener materiales a mano y trabajar esto.
Before so many ideas we decided to create a board that we call "Learning in challenges", where we make with recycling materials such as cardboard, white paper, colored cardboard and markers a path of 15 squares where questions on various topics are asked in relation to anniversaries, reinforcement from classes already seen in school, riddles, synonyms and antonyms for the language part, questions based on nature; loaded with the mathematical part with multiplications, subtractions, additions and divisions; The star squares give you two more squares to advance, while the one with the question mark in them must perform the challenge, be it jumping, playing with hula hoops, jumping rope, frog jumps, hopping on one foot, among others... There we involve the area of physical education, that of giving movement to the body by developing gross motor skills. Among the elements that we also added to the game are the tokens of the 6 participants made with soda caps, a little anime or Styrofoam colorfully painted on the top of these and a dice, which when thrown and 1 or 6 came out, entered to the game, added to the hula hoop and jump rope for the challenges.
Antes tantas ideas decidimos crear un tablero que llamamos "Aprendiendo en retos", donde realizamos con materiales de reciclaje como cartón, papel blanco, cartulinas de colores y marcadores un camino de 15 casillas donde se realizan preguntas de variados temas en relación a efemérides, reforzamiento de clases ya vistas en la escuela, adivinanzas, sinónimos y antónimos por la parte de lenguaje, preguntas en base a naturaleza; cargado de la parte matemática con multiplicaciones, restas, sumas y divisiones; las casillas estrelladas le regalan dos casillas más para avanzar, mientras la del signo de interrogación en ellas deben realizar el reto bien sea brincar, jugar con hula hula, saltar a la cuerda, saltos de rana, saltar en un pie, entre otros... allí involucramos el área de educación física, la de dar movimiento al cuerpo desarrollando la motricidad gruesa. Entre los elementos que también añadimos al juego se encuentran las fichas de los 6 participantes elaboradas con tapas de refresco un poco de anime o icopor pintadas coloridamente en la parte superior de estas y un dado, el cual al ser lanzado y salir 1 o 6 entraban al juego, sumado a el hula hula y cuerda de saltar para los retos.
When Thursday arrived, the mom in charge of going to teach the workshop teaching about this game was me by vote of the other representatives that make up the team. The children spent an entertaining morning amidst the play and learning they were sharing, nurturing each other as they rolled the dice and the game progressed. Thus they held several rounds where everyone in the classroom could participate. My girl was happy to see her mom at school in her classroom supporting her project activity.
Llegado el día jueves la mami encargada de ir a dictar el taller enseñando sobre este juego fui yo por votación de las otras representantes que conforman el equipo. Los niños pasaron una mañana entretenida en medio del juego y el aprendizaje que estaban compartiendo, nutriéndose unos a otros a medida que lanzaban el dado y el juego avanzaba. Así realizaron varias rondas donde todos en el salón de clases pudieron participar. Mi niña estaba contenta de ver a su mami en la escuela dentro de su salón de clases apoyando su actividad de proyecto.

I want to tell you that even I have had my good learning in the midst of what has been this period of school project. The fact of being in communication with the other moms by phone in the WhatsApp group and meeting in the afternoons to play this game taught me the importance of interacting with the rest of the school representatives, getting to know my daughter's friends and What their mothers are like, observe the values that I could see that they sow in their children. Furthermore, it doesn't hurt that we get to know each other and share a coffee like other conversations beyond school assignments, even this brings us the benefit of creating new friendships, nourishes us, breaks with the daily routine and is supportive in the purpose and educational achievement of our children. On the other hand, being active and closely involved in school activities has allowed me to see extraordinary progress in my little one's learning. Quiero comentarles que hasta yo he tenido mis buenos aprendizajes en medio de lo que ha sido este lapso de proyecto escolar. El hecho de estar comunicada con las otras mamis por vía telefónica en el grupo de WhatsApp y el reunirnos por las tardes para realizar este juego me enseño la importancia de relacionarte con el resto de representantes de la escuela, el conocer los amiguitos de mi hija y cómo son las mamis de ellos, observar los valores que pude notar que siembran en sus hijos. Además que, no esta de más que nos conozcamos y compartamos un café como otras conversaciones más allá de las asignaciones escolares, aun esto trae a nosotros el beneficio de crear nuevas amistades, nos nutre, rompe con la rutina diaria y es de apoyo en el fin y logro educativo de nuestros hijos. Por otro lado, estar activa y muy vinculada en cuanto a las actividades escolares me ha permitido ver avances extraordinarios en el aprendizaje de mi pequeña. Los Juegos de mesas suelen ser muy divertidos para los niños y ademas promueven la concentracion y el aprendizaje. Me alegra que estes apoyando a tus niñas en estas actividades escolares.
Un trabajo de equipo necesario. A veces nos cuesta dejar a nuestros niños en esos grupos de participación, pero cuánta falta hace. Entre sus mismos grupos etario afianzan más conocimientos. No me cabe duda. Saludos.
