I stumbled upon an ebook in my online shopping app and it is such a great find. The ebook is called How to Draw Anything Anytime. My daughter has another book about drawing for more serious things like a realistic duck, or cow, or whatever. This new book that I found teaches how to draw things in a cute way. The auther, Kamo, is an illustrator and also teaches people how to draw all over the world. She has written a lot of guides that are easy to follow for kids and grownups who have no background whatsoever in drawing.

Whenever I introduce a new book to my daughter, I make it a point to browse through it if I can't read all of it. I tried a few of the lessons in this ebook and I was amazed at the output I made. Note that drawing has been my biggest challenge ever since I was a kid. I know I love arts but my hands just does not deliver what my imagination is thinking. It has caused me a lot of frustration and I just gave up.

Kamo's instruction were worded in a fun and encouraging way, it feels so empowering. She broke down the basics and gave step by step instructions for each drawings. She also wrote some tips and extra tricks for the learners.

What I love about this book is the different ways that the lessons can be applied to everyday drawings. She showed how these cute drawings can be used for greeting cards, or stationeries, or notepads, etc.

My daughter loves drawing but when she sees a gigantic drawing task in front of her, she tends to back out from it. When she looked at the book, she was instantly inspired. She reads and practices the drawings everyday and I have seen so much improvements in her skills.

Her lines and circles are now a bit more refined than her previous drawings. Her artistic personality is shining even brighter now that she is acquiring this new skill. She used to not want to do anything during Fridays, but now, she opens this book even on her rest days. She says it feels relaxing to just draw faces and characters.

Looking at how she works on each drawing, I can see she is observing and focusing all of her attention to make each one of her drawings as beautiful as she possibly can. It helps that we have a motto: It does not need to be perfect, it just has to be done as beautifully as you possibly can. Kamo also stressed in her book that the learner does not need to worry much about symmetry but she did give tips on how to make sure there is symmetry in your drawings just in case you want a well balanced face in your drawings.

Overall, it's not just my daughter who's enjoying this book. I am also having fun learning and applying the things that I learned in my journaling. My daughter loves making greeting cards, she can't wait to make another birthday card for the next birthday celebrant in the family.

These types of drawings is really beautiful and amazing. It will have been more beautiful I believe when it is been coloured

My thoughts too. But the little learner does not want to color it yet. I asked her why she doesn't want to color, she says she's happy with how it looks right now. Haha.
