A quick Overview:
Mana is the (somewhat) chaotic essence of magic on the River Styx.
SMANA is its representation on the Hive Blockchain.
Its been almost a year since the first release!
(Styx)Mana is capped to a total of 10,000,000 (Ten Million) units. SMANA has no decimals.
SMANA is backed by the production / staking / collecting / compounding efforts of @nyxlabs & @theiamultitude and all souls of the River Styx.
Initially 10,000 Units were released.
The current circulation is 600,000 of 10,000,000 Units. (6%)
With this post, an additional 400,000 Units of SMANA will be issued to provide a base for the staking pool bringing the total units in circulation up to 1,000,000 (One Million) Units of SMANA.

Will the staking happen in game or on hive engine?

This staking feature is on Hive-Engine!
It is still very basic but will be improved with automation and delegation features over time.
Currently I am working on frontend features for Styx that will bring Hive elements to the website proper. What's more is that we will be able to have several blockchains in parallel, so you may discover sites that have elements of Styx, Polygon and Hive (for example)!
We are also working on dedicated staking features on Styx. At the moment it's more a scientific interest than an economic one though. You can see an early example here: https://styx.nyx-labs.com/stakes/mumbai/
Styx also has the "Spirit Stakes" modules which function as game elements and prototypes. The plan is that they too will influence your Hive, Eth, MATIC, Styx, etc. experience ^^
This staking is really promising !
