Newbie here, I have a question to ask, how do I know how much my vote is worth?
I have to say my overall 3xperience is mixed. What if I can't create quality content, ever?What's it for? Why isn't it more like a forum...? You know, having debates, giving advice, asking for help... The way it's set up, it's like every user's thoughts and experiences, even if they don't know what to say, if you know what I mean... I'm trying to say not everybody can write, or wants to...
Just throwing in my tuppence...
Anyway it's a nice website, the people are nice and I haven't seen any trolls... How many people are on hive.blog?
not sure what the new one is, but i used to use steemnow.com not sure if it switched over or not, and too lazy to look.
and re: users - there are over 1.4mil accounts - again, havent looked at the numbers in a while.
also totally agree with what ure asking, why its not more 'interactive' its cos theres money involved ( same reason the troll is low ) a lot of people dont read the stuff, only post

tbh, do u. search for topics u like, comment on them. u'd be surprised how quickly u get organic growth
The value of your upvote can be seen on Hive Now, which is currently $0.0004 at 100% (according to its upvote calculator).
I wouldn't worry too much about it. As long as you write the kinds of things that you yourself would like to read then everything will be fine. It doesn't have to be perfect either. And if you don't have anything to write, or you don't want to do it, just don't do it, it's not an obligation, you can see what others are doing and participate in other ways (commenting, upvoting, sharing, etc.)

What's the number in brackets next to my user name? And what happens if I don't redeem my hive?
The 53? It is your reputation, a number that rises according to your post, upvotes received, etc., and that has no major implications.
As far as I know, nothing, it will remain there until you decide to redeem it.
