RE: Enough Honeymoon, It's time to get down to business!

in #hive4 years ago (edited)

Nothing specific on the subject matter, we only ask that it not be too controversial or Hive-specific. We've featured art, photography, STEM, economics, health, etc. What we are looking for is magazine quality posts of 1600-2000 words minimum, well formatted, properly cited, and visually appealing. In other words, a showcase of the best Hive has to offer. The reblog of today by @gabrielatravels is an excellent example.

Omg guys, just woke up and saw your mentions and I'm literally flattered! This was the greatest experience since I joined the blockchain and I have no expectations - all I wanted is to share a little bit from my adventure! And it feels so nice to see people mentioning you and offering so kind words. Thank you so much and I wish I could hug you all!

This is fantastic. I occasional write posts that are in excess of that word number. I have a series on Covid-19. Some rants, some just factual, one humorous piece and I am planning an opinion piece for next week. In between, it's cooking stories and personal musings.

Love this idea. I do have a question: I post from Wordpress via @steempress. This makes posting from a community virtually impossible. Is this an issue? For some curation initiatives,it is.

Thanks to @joshman, @acidyo, @azircon, @livinguktaiwan, @minismallholding, and @riverflows

We only focus in quality Fiona, and that can be from an community, or not.
Re posting from Steempress, have you tried putting the hive id as the one and only tag in WordPress? I tried it once, can't remember if it worked or not as it's been ages since I've used WP. Sadly been neglecting it 😞

@fionasfavourites There's a setting in WP that lets you set a default tag (rather than steempress), and place that default tag before other tags (checkbox), that worked for me when i tested it.

Thanks a lot. very helpful

And @gabrielatravels is a superb travel author who always puts in a shift with her content - I'm so glad to see her post doing so well! Thanks for supporting it

That was a great post to restart the initiative and to let people know the standard to aim for.

Awesome! I do think that's the best way to get random Googlers to visit Hive... by encouraging some of the best value adding articles on the internet to live here.

Thanks for your response - a super exciting initiative.
