RE: The Downvote Economy – How to Steal the Value of Someone's Work and Get Rich Off Their Efforts

in #hivelast month (edited)

well, I guess you didn't fully understand what I wrote above.

It doesn't matter how many stakes or other things you create. In the case of downvotes, the balance is always quickly disturbed because if one of the parties gains even a slight advantage, the scales tip at an exponential speed to the side that gained this advantage.

You can't fix this with any stakes or other inventions because whatever exists to balance it will fall into the hands of those witnesses who win the vote and those who win will always be those who receive the majority of votes. Since we have established that within 5 rounds of downvoting the advantage in favor of one group can double, you probably understand that Hive will always be the arena of one camp in power and that's what happened. Just 2 years after the steem fork, hive became the property of one dominant group with views similar to democrats, which practically chased away or suppressed the group with opposing views. Which was perfectly visible, for example, during the plandemic.

The "political" scene on hive is currently set in stone and unmovable, so there is no chance for change, and as a result, even if you dream of someone introducing what you are talking about, it will NEVER happen because it would mean a risk for the current government that they will lose their position :P That is why there will NEVER be any changes that you would like to see to make Hive more balanced or more fair ;]

And even if it seems to you that a wind of hope will blow, because I don't know... for example, some new billionaire will come and make a small reshuffle in the arena of power, the scales will simply tip strongly the other way again.

there is no hope for this "game" because is broken in the basis.

Is the same old shit as in others totalitarian regimes or corrupted governments today. Fat pigs are eating and regular people hurts.

Well, you have to be able to discern the different viewpoints.
The viewpoint of the people that created this platform for us to complain about their 'mismanagement' on is that they need to get paid for creating the platform.
The viewpoint of the earliest adopters is that they need to get paid for making the early days a success.
These are not viewpoints that can be invalidated because one doesn't share them.
These dominant viewpoints can't change until the political power in the hive spreads out some more.
That only happens if people power up moar hive.
