Feels Anti-climactic But...
As I lie here on the bed after pulling a muscle in my back, I realized that I was on the verge of hitting my long term HP goal of 100k. I nudged it over the top, and here I am!
Being injured has given me an excuse to mess around a bit on here, even though I am supposed to be taking a break! You guys know how addictive this place is!
With these low prices I have been buying as much as I can, hopefully at the bottom. Most of my stake (as you have heard me moan about) I got at between 4 and 6 bucks per Steem at the time.
Then I traded off most of my Steem for more Hive, and got a little BTC and ETH for a rainy day.
I say that reaching this goal is Anticlimactic because most of my friends on here who started in mid 2017 like me, blew past 100k a long time ago!
I have never been a great trader. It is hard for me to admit that, but the facts make it quite obvious. I think that I am getting better, though. The trick is to use your brain, not your emotions. This hasn't been easy for me!
That being said, investing in Hive, for me; is both an emotional and a logical decision for me. I have been involved with dozens of cryptocurrencies and Hive is the only one that I have any real attachment to.
Now I just need a new goal to reach!

Congratulations! We might not get prices lower than this. I was buying STEEM when it was crashing in the $4 range and I bought until I ran out of all the liquid funds I had. I have no regrets.

Thanks! I don't regret owning hive, but I wish that I hadn't used my ETH and BTC to buy it. I should have brought in new cash.

congratulations dear on achieving your set milestone for the HIVE HP. I had one for myself for 50K HP by the end of 2020 and I did achieve it that makes you feel happy when we achieve our set goals. I've now set a goal for myself to be an Orca here on HIVE. Best Regards

Haha, I started at the end of 2017 and I am just getting close to 20K which has been my goal for a long time now. I guess I just don't know the right people! Congrats though, that is awesome. I am sorry to hear about your back. I know how bad that can be. I have always had issues with mine, but they really got bad several years ago when my niece jumped into my arms unexpectedly. Take it easy!
It is awful man... I don't even understand how I hurt it. I literally just picked up some empty cardboard boxes, then twisted to pick up my baby and got a sharp stab in my back left ribs.
I have been laid up for 3 days now. Worst pain ever! Luckily it is slowly starting to feel a bit better. The muscle cramps something fierce when I twist even a little!
Yep, that is is it. I have found it isn't necessarily the picking up of heavy objects, it is the twisting. I got lucky and found a good chiropractor (I used to hate them) who doesn't do the cracking. He does more pressure points and things like that. He also isn't the sort that expects you to keep coming back several times a week for the rest of your life. He takes care of you until you are better, then you can go years without seeing him and come back just like it was the next week. If there were an acupuncturist around I would try that too. Even though I hate needles!
