Although I'm incredibly proud of this piece, and believe it to be top-tier quality writing with kind intentions... it was recently (almost comically) downvoted to oblivion by a single whale, reasoning as yet unknown. If I had a weaker constitution, that sort of thing may almost make me want to join Harlow in departing the platform, lol.

But anyway, thanks very much for sharing it, I appreciate you. 🙏

Are you freakin' kidding me Jay??? That was a masterful piece. I loved it! I am so sorry. I can't stand it when this happens to people like you😭 Especially when the downvote doesn't even come with the courtesy of a comment to explain the reason. I would like to think that people should have to engage first, downvote afterwards if they still feel strongly about an issue, and comment their reason why, or they should not be allowed to use the downvote. It's certainly not something I use🙏Have you reached out to the whale in question, maybe they hit DV in error? I know I did this the other day when my mouse slipped and I had to unvote and revote with upvote. Maybe they didn't realise? Or maybe another whale or two would like to counter the action :-)

Thanks, a lot of people praised and upvoted it, and @comet.ranker counteracted the action with a generous tip of Hive. Interestingly, I've written multiple times about power, censorship, and poor behavior, but I usually manage to avoid any downvote-ire personally. It appears this time I failed to do so. It's possible it could've been a mistake, but feels highly unlikely, if you know what I mean, lol. Anyway, intriguing experience, food for thought. 🙏
