Crazy times indeed - at least the first time I've experienced something like this since I've been on Hive. Trying to get my head round the implications still.
I've never noticed anything from earn.hive but I know now not to take any notice of it - thanks for the heads up as always!

It adds to the fun :) If you are not powering down it makes little difference apart from increasing the value of your vote, but it can get more people interested.

I've noticed some other knock on effects too - for example a lot of 2nd later tokens are cheaper than normal and it seems like a good time to buy Rising Star cards - presumably from people selling so they can sell some Hive and take a bit of profit.
I wonder if we'll get an influx of new people on Hive from this - let's see..

We may well see more activity as people try to profit from it. That can cause some spam.
Ok interesting. That made me just realised I literally see no spam at all since I subscribed to a white/black list. Even before that it was highly rare.

Hive actually has a pretty low rate of spam for now. Considering people will be desperate for votes you might expect more, but we shall see how it goes.
